Who's a Fat Bastard - Squatchapalooza Xll - forever Plaid.

August 9, 2014

I was up before the alarm. I can't decide if it's excitement or fear that has me up early. This is our twelfth annual party. We have it down pretty good. Lisa preps the food while I get the outdoor stuff done. I get a lot of help from my friends.
Willy and Josh have been here the last three days helping with the yard work, stringing lights, decorating and setting up the bar.
Willy setting up the Bar
My son in law Christian, was at our house at 9:30 am to help with the final setup. We had tables to move and pop ups to pop up. He was gone by 11:30 and the place was looking good. He also loves to BBQ and is pretty good at it.
Senor Barbacoa

I was at Long and McQuade renting a PA when my phone rang. "Would you like Bill to bring his PA?" Mark asked me. "Would I not like to spend $70 and not have to return it on Sunday before noon?" sign me up! My Scottish heart was all a twitter with the unexpected savings. Also, Bill is a wicked good guitar player and Mark plays half a dozen instruments. With the PA and the lights taken care of I headed home to help with the food.
Chef Boy R Lisa is a caterer through and through. Her biggest fear is that she will run out of food. Never gonna happen.
BBQ....mmmmmm
Twenty pound top sirloin roast and two eight pound Pork Loins tied together. There was also a turkey and a Sockeye salmon.
Pork, Salmon, Ham and turkey. Beef on it's way

Not to mention the cold table.
Pot Luck Salad Bar
The food was amazing and plentiful. After the stuffing most people inflicted upon themselves. (I had four kinds of meat and a salad.) We still had desert to get through.
Leah and her Peach pie masterpiece

Lisa's Carmen Miranda fruit extravaganza
There was also Blueberry Peach flan and peanut butter cookies.
Now, before I get fatter just looking at the pictures. Lets get to the crowd. We had kids in the pool.

We had kids on the stage.

We had a lot of smiling happy kids
Princess Bella
Kaydence
And dogs too! At one point there were seven dogs in the yard.
Clarissa with Mac and Lincoln.
We had some wonderful musicians.
Bill, Leah and Mark
About sixty people attended this year. Everyone had a good time. We made music till about 11:30. The last hour just me and Jerry on saxophone. Holy crap! It's 3:30 am.

That's all I got.
Till next time.
Peace Out Y'all
