Who's a Fat Bastard - Soup without crackers

August 19, 2014
Como Lake
Have you ever had one of those days that just flew by? One minute it's 8 am and you're turning off the alarm , next thing you know it's 11 and you're still in your pyjamas!  Okay, I did the floors and drank two cups of coffee. Not exactly a productive morning. The problem was I started watching the news. I always watch the local news but today I was pulled into news hell. I jumped from CBC to Aljazeera to the BBC to FOX and MSNBC they all had one thing in common. No good news. I found myself gawking at the pictures of hate coming from all over the world. Gaza, Missouri, Ukraine, Syria take your pick. All driven by hate.
Three hours of  horror and  I really need to work out.
600 Four Stair Stretches to warm up.
You lookin at me?
200 One Stair Steps.
Help me Jesus , Help me!
144 Belly Bustin Crunches
No six pack.....yet
Then I rode the Iron Maiden for the entire ninety minutes of Suits, Season 1, episode 1. Not bad. It's about two smart ass lawyers. I'll give it a try.
Head Phones or head case?
I had a nice Squatch Salad and a bowl of beef vegetable soup for lunch and a long hot shower.
Soup is not the same without crackers!

I spent extra water pic time on my shoulder. I seem to have pretty good range of motion but I have no strength. I'm sure the Four Stair Stretch has helped with that a lot.
Momma Lee's
I headed over to Momma Lee's with Nutmeg and Elvis. We got there just as social hour was wrapping up. A couple of times a week the residents get together in the dining room for drinks and snacks. They have wine and beer for those who aren't already medicated. That's a short line! Soda and chips for most. The conversation, when there is any, is not exactly stimulating. The dogs make the rounds accepting cheezies and chips in return they allow them to pat them on the head. Especially for cheezies.
It was a staring contest of Biblical proportions today. In the forty minutes I was there I was the only one who spoke. And that was mostly to the dogs.
Coma Lake Contemplation
I had promised the dogs I would take them to Como Lake so off we went. Where did all the Geese go? The last time I was here there were Canada Geese, and their poop, all over the place. Today, not a single Goose. I like that. Nutmeg, not so much. She loves to roll in Goose poop.
Beautiful day at the lake
Lisa called while we were at the park to tell me that lunch was pushed three hours. So instead of getting home around 8 pm, that's when they were serving. I had sausages with sour kraut for dinner and watched two episodes of Suits, it's growing on me.
We are back in the trampoline business. Tamara found one on line for $30. It's in great shape, but by the time we got it up it was dark. I think that I'll just stay off this one.

That's all  got.
Till next time
Peace out Y'all
