Who's a Fat Bastard - Ratdog Spa Day

August 20, 2014

Normally I lounge around in my pyjamas for a coffee or two in the morning. Not this morning. Today is Ratdog Spa day. Four times a year we take Elvis and Nutmeg to be groomed. They were starting to go velcro on us. Dirt, grass, sticks, even ants! They were bringing the great outdoors indoors everytime they came in the house. Scruffy, shaggy little Ratdogs.
Everybody loves Elvis, The Ratdog King

As I was saying, I got my workout in early. I was done by 8:45.
600 Four Stair Stretches

200 One Stair Steps
And 144 Belly Crunches

I didn't ride the Iron Maiden today. I had to get the Ratdogs to the Spa.
On the way out with the dogs I stopped to help level the new trampoline.

I was hoping the Poop Fairy would visit the dogs before they started their spa day. They have been getting their hair done at the same place for years. It was once a Petcetera now it's called Pet Culture. I drop them off and head for home. It was garbage day so I brought the recycling boxes back in and straightened up the cans.
I tidied up the house and made myself some lunch. Left over pork, chicken and a Squatch Salad.
And a pickle too!
I sat on the front deck and played my guitar until the Spa called. $50 each. I have never had a $50 haircut! Okay, they get a flea bath and their anal gland squeezed but still! I make Lisa cut my hair in the kitchen! They do look good though.
I'm so embarrassed

I don't like this  Ratdog look. I'm a freakin Princess!
I took the Ratdogs to see Momma Lee. She had somehow managed to convince the staff that she needed a lock and key for her room. I assumed because the door was locked that she was outside or in the dining room. I ended up back at her door knocking and calling her name. No response. Just as they were getting there with a master key Momma Lee opened the door. They told me that was the second time that she had locked herself in in the last three hours. The lock came off. Not without a fight, but it came off. It`s just not safe. Momma Lee has advanced Parkinsons and falls a lot. If she ever fell with the door locked, I hate to think what could happen.

It was now 5 pm and I was at a loss as to what to do. I was hungry, so that was an easy decision. I had smokies with sour kraut for dinner.
And yet another pickle.
Even with a full belly I can`t make up my mind what to do. Lisa had a late call, 7:30 am, out in Steveston, and she forgot her phone,so she won`t be home till 10 or 11 pm. I was considering taking her phone to her but, that`s a long way. I also had a package to drop off with my friend Gord in NewWest.
Basically, I drove around for three hours, sometimes lost, sometimes just confused. I wasn`t able to reach Gord so I headed for Steveston with Lisa`s phone. I couldn`t find her! I couldn`t even find the river! The bitch in a box (GPS) was no help. She kept turning me in circles. I finally gave up and headed home without seeing the Lovely Lisa.
The Ratdogs teeth were floating so I stopped at Blue Mountain Park.

I used to bring them here all the time. It`s a beautiful park with sculptures and water features.

It was a fantastic evening. The perfect temperature. There were people playing tennis
Perfect tennis weather
And a guy not playing his guitar. I loitered around for ten minutes and he never played a note. Never got off his phone the whole time.
Not a player
I got in about 9:30 and watched an episode of The Mentalist I had pvr`d. Lisa got home about two hours later had a quick bite and hit the sack. That`s it till next Monday for Lisa. We have company from Vancouver Island tomorrow. I`m picking her up at 12:20 so I best get to bed.

That`s all I got.
Till next time.
Peace Out Y'all
