Who's a Fat Bastard - eyeing me up

August 12, 2014

I crashed, I went down for the count, T K O'd in the fourteenth. It's 9:27 am August 13 and I have been awake long enough to take a wiz and make an instant coffee. I was in bed at 9:30 last night! I just couldn't keep my eye's open. I was in that weird state where I was actually dreaming I was writing, until one of those violent head snaps brings you back to the empty screen. One time, I woke up to about nine thousand letter k's! I have been burning the candle at both ends this summer so I probably just needed a catch up.
I had only slept four hours the night before because of the BlueJays game,

and because I erased everything I had written at 3:30 in the morning! And last but not least, I had 8am Papa Squatch Dayscare. I rolled out of bed yesterday morning as the alarm pierced my Seattle induced fog. Simultaneously and at the same time Jen pulled in with the Grandkids. I hadn't even had a coffee. I ducked into the bathroom. Took care of business, washed my face, took my meds, and put in my teeth. Ready for the world on four hours sleep!
I was not at my best. I felt slow and disconnected. I can't imagine three Rainier Beers could do that. To make matters even more interesting it was raining. I couldn't even banish them to the yard. Jen told me that Sharon, her Mom, was going to pick the kids up after an appointment mid morning. I can't say I was unhappy about that. The kids went down to the Green Room to play. There are several trunks full of toys and art stuff down there. How long do you think that would occupy their little minds? Not long. It was the closest I've come to using the TV as a Babysitter. "Can we call on Matty" Bella asked. 9 am, not too early I thought, "Sure. Play in the Green Room" I bellowed from the office where I was writing the previous days blog. Also a day late. Sharon showed up mid morning and peace was restored.

That's when Willy showed up to collect the last of his left behinds. The dogs leashes. I had to take the Spit and Pit back to the rental and Lisa had the truck at work. My tenant Chris was on his way out when I asked if he could help with his Van to take the thing back. " I can help you after 2"
Willy pre tossing
I tossed Willy. He's new to the nothing really to do game. I went through it years ago. You become a professional visitor. Most people have things to do. Not made up things like I do, but real things, like jobs and such. I don't even have a timetable. I can sit at your table all day long and suck down a pot or two of free Java no problemo! "I have to get on this stuff, Wanker" I said throwing in a slag for fun " Aye" he said " I'll just have a  cup and I'll be doon the road" That took us near to lunch. So I had lunch.
Lunch is served

Then I lined the backseat of Lisa's car with a tarp and threw the three giant bags of empties into Otto, that's what we call her car. It's a Volkswagen with a stick. Get it, a stick! And it was her Grandfathers name, but mostly the first thing.
Our recycling place is the best ever. They dump the bags out on the table, sort them and give you a chit, all without having to touch anything. I wash my hands anyway cause the place smells kind of funky. It was a good return on the empties thanks to the heavy Scots contingent this year, a veritable Tartan Army!
I'm in the money! I was supposed to by lotto tickets

Chris was waiting when I got home and helped me load up his van and off to One Stop Party Rentals in Poco. We have used them for years and think they are really good. We unloaded and headed for home, all in about a half hour of his time. He's been our tenant for three years with his wife Tamara and son Matty. We are lucky to have them.
I grabbed the dogs and made my way to see Momma Lee. It was social hour so we sat out in the dining room and had a snack and stare. That's what I call social hour. A lot of the residents are non verbal. Momma Lee's voice is so faint I can't hear her, so I just sit Elvis or Nutmeg in her lap and look to sit near the Physical Therapist. She speaks. I took Momma Lee back to her room and filled out a birthday card for Leon. I kissed her goodbye and, as it had stopped raining, I took the dogs to Coma Lake, I mean Como Lake.

I felt like I was in a coma! People were fishing.
The lake and the weather were beautiful.
The Dogs just love it.
Nothing like a roll in the grass

Everybody loves Elvis!
And I had a stalker, he/she didn't dive bomb me like the one in Alaska did. Just following me, cawing at me.
Initial contact

Eyeing me up
I barely made it around once. My body felt okay but I was very unfocused. I took the rest of the day off. I basically sat in front of the TV fro 6 until Lisa got home at 8. We ate, She showered and went to bed. Last day of work this week tomorrow/today.
Squatch salad and beef
I considered, briefly, doing my workout but I just didn't have the energy. After I took out the garbage and the recycling I had a quick shower and crawled into bed beside the Lovely Lisa, who was already asleep.
I feel great today. Woke up with energy and a clear head looking forward to my workout which I'm going to start right now.

That's all I got.... from yesterday
Till next time
Peace Out Y'all
