I actually feel better now that I've gotten all that Christmas thing out. That and a long conversation with the lovely Lisa after work. Every thing's going to be fine. This isn't her first Squatchy Nutbar Rodeo! She reminded me that this happens every year and assured me she has everything under control.
Still, it started off a pretty challenging day. I had that feeling of dread and I just couldn't get rid of it. First of all I had a lousy night's sleep. I think I woke up every hour with cold sweats. That probably didn't help with the tone of yesterday's blog.
When in doubt, workout! That's my motto starting today. Nothing like mindless repetition or good drugs, to clear your mind. I should be a stick figure/ addict by New Years! I got that much doubt going on.
I did a full workout including riding the Iron Maiden through the pilot episode of Lilyhammer. There's a lot of discovery in the first episode but I liked it. I had just finished my workout when a buddy from the Island passing through, stopped at the house. We had a cup of drippy Joe and caught up. I haven't seen him since the summer.

I was bad on the eating front today. I didn't have an appetite all day long. I had an apple about 2:30 and hadn't eaten anything else all day. Not good for the blood sugar. I packed up the Rat dogs and took them over to see Mama Lee. They were watching some National Geographic special about a gang of Komodo dragons taking four days to kill a water buffalo. It was hard to tell who the old folks were cheering for. I spent about thirty minutes talking to Mama Lee while the giant lizards ripped the guts out of the Buffalo. Then it was time for Mama Lee to have her dinner and for me to take the Rat dogs to Como lake.
It was about 4:45 and there was this amazing light. I only had my tablet with me not my camera so I wasn't sure how the pictures were going to turn out. Chef Boy R Lisa texted me my Ho Ho Ho warning.

I needed to get cleaned up and dressed for tonight's festivities.
Pre show anxiety |
sang a song representing the customs of every imaginable culture. If they take place at Christmas time or not.
Bella's class sang a song about Jewish customs.
And Matty, who lives down stairs did Japanese.
Though it seems that he was more interested in jumping up and down off the bench he was standing on. Who wouldn't be! There was a strange sense of irony when the celebration of Kwanzaa had no people of colour involved in it. I don't know what was going on with Bella. She kept yawning.
It wasn't too bad. An hour of squeaky voices singing/screaming way too loud. After the show we said our goodbyes.

Christian, Cristo, Bella and Jennifer the fruit of my looms |
Jen and Christian took the kids home to bed and the lovely Lisa suggested we go to Tentatsu for dinner and then pop over to the North Shore to say hi to Michele.
Dinner for two |
It was midnight by the time we got home the lovely Lisa crawled into bed for a well deserved sleep. I sat up for another hour dictating this into my tablet.
I'll put it all together in the morning.
That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out y'all
