Not this morning. I stayed up until Chef Boy R Lisa went to work at 3:00 a.m. So it was about 3:30 by the time I got to sleep. I had the alarm set because today was Papa Squatch day scare. I swing my legs out and sat on the edge of the bed staring angrily at my alarm. Regretting my choice of the jungle drums as a wake up ringtone.
It made me feel like I was in an old Tarzan movie. At some point in every one of those movies the bad guy says, The drums, I can't stand the drums, those infernal drums! Then Tarzan swings in and kicks his ass. I just turned off the alarm and went and made a cup of Joe. I guess I'll have to kick my own ass!
If this was London, the Limey's would call this a Pea Souper! The fog/clouds were so thick you couldn't see the huge tree that lives behind the school across the street.
I was halfway through my first cup of Joe when all hell broke loose. They came through the fog like a rioting army of Orks! Sorry I still have the Hobbit on my mind. Jen was on her way to work so she did a quick hi-bye and was gone. Bella was on the floor playing with Nutmeg and Christo was asking if he could go play with Matty. I said no and gave him a banana instead. Which was ironic because Bananas in Pajamas was on TV.
At 8:45 we crossed the street to Bella's school. The bell rang as we were waiting for the traffic light to turn green. If this was London, the Limey's would call this a Pea Souper! The fog/clouds were so thick you couldn't see the huge tree that lives behind the school across the street.
"That's the bell" Christo said
"I'm going to be late Papa" Bella said
"If you're not there on time, they take away your lunch and give it to a Hobo" I told her
"What's a Hobo?"
The light changed before I could answer. I make the kids hold my hand when we cross the street. When her feet hit the sidewalk on the other side she was gone. She runs pretty fast for a girl with a backpack half as big as she is. When Christo and I got to the edge of the playground we could see Bella at the end of her class, going up the stairs into the school. She turned around and waved.
Christopher and I made our way back to the house. He goes to preschool from 9:30 till noon.
When I went to drop Christo off at school there was barely 100 feet of visibility. After dropping Christo off at preschool I went home and finished yesterdays blog. I was back to pick him up at noon.
We went shopping for bread. I don't have any at the house because I could easily eat a loaf a day! I love sandwiches! I haven't done any Papa Squatch Dayscare for three weeks. It wouldn't be safe for the little loaves. I made Christo a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch and I made myself foot long ham and cheese lettuce wraps.

After lunch we got to work deconstructing Christmas.
Christo was my photo journalist, camera in hand he took pictures of the entire process.
Most of them of my backend but hey, he's four years old.
It took two hours to take down what took a week to put up.
At 2:45 we went to pick up Bella after school. We were standing at the light once again when the bell rang. When we turned the corner into the school yard we could see Bella standing beside her teacher looking for us. Christo ran ahead and I waved to the teacher when we made eye contact. Bella was released from grade one captivity. Bella barely had time to get her coat off and Nutmeg into her lap when Christian arrived to take them home.

I got the Ho warning from Chef Boy R Lisa about 3:30 she was going to stop and see Mama Lee and would be home about 4:30. I tidied up the kitchen. Finished putting away the outdoor lights, I need one more rubbermaid bin to store all the half price lights I bought this year. Made a cup of No Joe ( decaf ) and waited for the lovely Lisa to arrive.
When the lovely Lisa got home she was beat. She was making noise about going out for dinner but I could see her heart wasn't in it. We had lots of food in the fridge as we always do. So I insisted we stay home and just forage for our dinner. Every once in a while my sleep patterns catch up to me. I function fine on six hours but anything less than that and I flame out early. I was in bed before 9:30p.m. and slept until 6:30a.m. I started on my blog when a family emergency happened. That was at 9:30 a.m. and I just finished up and it's 3:00 p.m. On the positive side, I got to spend the day with Christo.
That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out y'all
