Who's a Fat Bastard - I get the seniors discount at Shoppers Drug Mart without asking.

January 15, 2015

Sad face and a bad hair day!
The lovely Lisa Snow Bunny went skiing and took the camera with yesterdays pictures on it. Oops. So the few I put up today have no relevance to the story.
Come hither
Birthdays aren't as much fun as they used to be. For one thing, they come way faster than they used to. They're going by like dog years now! I look in the mirror and there's an old man looking back at me. My golden locks and beard have been devalued to silver seemingly overnight. I do feel better than I have in years. The life style changes I made have definitely improved the quality of my life. I feel fit and happy. I exercise regularly and watch what I eat. So far so good but I'm still a ways from being Thong worthy.
To take away the mental picture of me in a thong.

When I rode the sky train to New West a month ago, there were no seats and a young woman offered me hers. I declined and spent the ride trying to look down her top. Just to see if I still cared!
On the plus side, I get the seniors discount at Shoppers Drug Mart without asking.
I wish I could sleep like that!
Birthday Boxing Day is better. The deluge of well wishers well wishes is over. There are a few belated messages coming in from people not on a program that tells them when  people you may, or may not know are having a birthday. We have all become more popular since we became face book friends. It's a good thing. Everyone wants to feel special on their birthday. Some of my FB friends I haven't seen in person in twenty-five years, some I see every day, some I have never met. All of us share our lives as a community and I like that.

Birthday Boxing day is like regular Boxing Day. I got up late to the aroma of drippy Joe. I was looking forward to laying around in my pajamas nursing my schnitzel hangover. I used my tablet to write my blog half watching the tube and feeling like a million bucks, green and crumpled. I was fuzzy this morning. I was having trouble putting my thoughts in order. The lovely Lisa was up and I moved to the office to finish the blog.
Kuaii chicken digging in!
I had no sooner posted yesterdays blog when I was informed of my Birthday Boxing Day agenda. Lunch at Tentatsu on our way to buy a cabinet from the SPCA thrift store and a visit with Michele on the north Shore. Michele saw the cabinet and sent a picture to the lovely Lisa. We had the $6.95 lunch special at Tentatsu, and a California roll to go.
It was Chef Boy R Lisa's coconut
The cabinet was as advertised and I loaded it into the truck. We went to visit Michele and next thing you know, it's 4:00 and I'm not watching the Canucks game. The lovely Lisa let me listen to the game on the radio on the way home. We have dinner reservations for 7:00 at L'Abbitoir an upscale restaurant in Gastown for a romantic Birthday dinner with the lovely Lisa.

The food was very good. We had Foi Gras and Oysters with a cardomin yogurt sauce as appetisers, yummy. The lovely Lisa had the duck and I had the Beef, very nice. The lovely Lisa finished her meal with spice cake. It was a very nice presentation. The cake was okay.
We talked about maybe cruising down to English Bay and do a little people watching but it hadn't stopped raining all day so we went home and had an early night. I have to prepare for tonights party so I gotta go.

That's all I got
Till next time
Peace out y'all
