Who's a Fat Bastard - Saying goodbye

September 17, 2014

I thought I would try doing my workout as soon as I got up. One cup of coffee, No Name Instant, standing up, and I started my workout / laundry duty. Mind you it was 10 am when I got out of bed. I liked it. I was half way done before I even woke up!
1000 Four Stair Stretches, 200 One Stair Steps and 180 Belly Crunches.
Brother Steve says I should stop showing the pictures of my workout. They are all the same and boring. I know that they're not the most interesting pictures. What do you expect? I'm in a freakin stair well!

For me, posting the workout pictures is a motivational tool. I do my workout so I will have a picture to post. If I didn't post a picture, I didn't workout. If I don't workout I am disappointed in my self. I hate to let down the gallery! They're a tough crowd.
The watchers
They sit there for the whole thing. Well, Mac does. He's afraid to come down the stairs. Between exercises I flip the laundry. Elvis comes down every time I go into the green room.  While I'm doing my Belly Crunches Elvis sits right beside me. Mac sits at the top of the stairs and whines.

I think my shoulders are healing
After my workout I made myself breakfast. Pork chops and eggs with tomato, avocado and more coffee. Okay, I just reheated the chops. Leftovers from last night.

By the time I got out of the shower and dressed it was after noon. I sat down, picked up my guitar and thought, I should go play at Momma Lee's. When I got there they had the news on and I didn't want to turn it off. It's the first time I have seen the TV on after lunch. I watched the news with Momma Lee then pushed her out into the courtyard. She believes everyone should go outside every day to stay healthy. While we were outside I took some pictures of Momma Lee. She has been asking me to get her some prints of herself to send to ....I don't know who!
Still a looker at 73
I left her playing Bingo in the dining room and took my camera down to Walmart. I had them print 10 4x6 for Momma Lee to mail out and 1 8x10 for Lisa. Not only are they only nineteen cents they were ready in ten minutes. In that ten minutes I bought a new pair of golf shoes off the clearance rack for $15.

I love a deal. That's half the price to replace the spikes on my old shoes.
I stopped at the bank and payed for Peter's bus pass for next year. I dropped the pictures off with Momma Lee and sped home to let the dogs out. I had been gone for about five hours at this point. I didn't want them venting their anger at being left behind with urine! They say that one human year is the equivalent of seven dog years. Does that mean they've been holding their pee for thirty-five hours?
I wasn't through the door ten minutes when Lisa got home. She texted me my Ho warning and I missed it. I had already cleaned up but I didn't know if I was making dinner, or if she was bringing it.
She was beat when she got home. I made her a cup of tea and we sat and talked about our day. She had stopped in to see Momma Lee on her way home. Lisa had fried rice for dinner and I made a teriyaki chicken chef salad for myself.

I started playing this stupid computer game that never ends and when I looked up an hour later Lisa was asleep on the couch. I woke her up and got her all tucked in about 9 o'clock.
I have been struggling with the blog lately. This coming weekend we will be saying goodbye to Stu Scott.
Stuart Scott
He passed in January and it took till now to make it work. There is going to be a gathering at The Fernwood Inn in Victoria on Sunday the 21st at 6 pm. It's been weighing heavy on my mind. I see a dear friend going down the same road. I stuck my nose in and now ???
On an even less happy note, my friend Kathy passed on Monday after a long battle with cancer. I never saw her without a smile on her face. Our hearts go out to Glen and the family for your loss.
We are all just dust in the wind.

That's all I got.
Till next time.
Peace Out Y'all
