Who's a Fat Bastard - Finished and kaput

" Hey, I was swimming in there!"

     It's over. Done. Finished and kaput! Summer is over. I know on the calender it's September 21, but here at Casa Lisa, summer ended today! I spent the entire day draining and cleaning the pool for winter storage. I got the hose hooked up to the drain hole about 10 and had it cleaned and ready to store by 5:30. 

     When I went out to start the process, I almost put it off. I stopped using the chlorine when it started getting cold at night and raining last week. Every year I put it off and end up taking it down in the rain or when its so cold the liner won't fold, or on a couple of occasions both.

     I started the pool draining and went to do my workout

1000 Four Stair Stretches, 200 One Stair Steps and 180 Belly Crunches.

After my workout I went out to check on the pool. It still had a long way to go.

Lunch seemed like a reasonable thing to do since it was after 1 already. I had boiled some eggs when I got up this morning and now I made some egg salad. I usually make a good one but today, not so much. I put in too much mayo. I could almost have drank it. I ate it in lettuce wraps....messy. Tasty too!

After lunch I was back at the pool. Using the shop vac I was able to get the pool pretty clean.

I took this picture because Lisa had just got home and that was my excuse to take a break. And I thought it was a cool picture. She told me about her day and I went back to finish the pool.

Tomorrow I'll fold it up and put it away for the year. Lisa brought home some Curried Beef and Peppers that was yummy. So yummy I ate it before I remembered to take a picture. Lisa was in bed by 6:30 and I watched the tube and faded in and out. It's 2:10 and Lisa just got up to go to work. That's my cue to go to bed.
