I was up with the alarm at 8 this morning writing yesterdays blog. It's now 1:15 am and I'm just sitting down at the keyboard. If I haven't been to bed, is it still today or am I tomorrow man? It was a very good kind of, sort of day. Lisa was up just as I finished yesterdays blog. "We should play golf today" were the first words out of her mouth. " I'm in! Right after I do my workout." I said as I was lacing up my sneakers.
1000 Four Stair Stretches
200 One Stair Steps
180 Belly Crunches, the last twelve with Elvis riding along.
I was going golfing so I had to have a bite to eat. I whipped up a couple of ham and cheese lettuce wraps.
" I need you to open the attic, Honey" My Kitten purred from the hallway. I need to do it because the spring broke and it won't stay up on it's own anymore. We put the fans and some of Lisa's summer clothes into the attic then I fixed the spring and reinstalled it.
I was going golfing so, I headed to the shower. I was side tracked by the Lovely Lisa, "Are you going to get the pool off the back deck?" She asked in a voice that told me, Yes, I will be taking the pool off the deck, and now!
At the time it seemed necessary. I was half way done before I realised I didn't need to do it at all. I wanted to put a shelf in the shed and I thought I had the material I needed. Wrong!
I got as far as I could with the materials I had on hand. Finally, my shower. " I don't think we have time for golf! " her words hit me like a slap on the ass with a wet towel! Buda, buda, buda, I stammered out in my best Porky Pig impression. "Let's go to the beach. If we golf, we will be too late to go to the beach." she said sounding ever so reasonable. I pretended I had a vote and made it unanimous. Beach it is!
But first, a visit with Momma Lee. We took her some plums from our tree and a nice Okanagan peach. I told her it was time for my pedicure and her nails. Next Tuesday, spa day!
We stopped to pick up dinner to go with the cooler full of fruit.

Yes, Pizza! The day before Weigh Day to boot! My first slice since New Jersey. Fresh Slice, thin and crispy crust.
We played a game of Bocce. I won 11 - 2.
In all fairness to Lisa, she spent most of the game chasing one or the other of the three dogs. It's the dog beach. What's the worst they could do? Pee on someones cooler? Steal a kids hotdog? Besides, everyone loves them! They're little and cute.

Just like me! Except for the little and cute part. We moved down to the beach and I serenaded Lisa as we waited for the sunset.
It was a slow start tonight The colours were quite muted.
As the sun was setting the colours became more intense.
Once the sun had set we decided to go up to Cypress to see the stars. We went by way of Stanley Park. Jack on the radio, moon roof open it was a perfect night. I had my tripod with me and a setting on the camera that holds the lens open trying to get a night shot of the city.
We made our way through the park and onto the Lions Gate bridge. The whole time I was watching the Lions game on the radio. Lions win, Lions win! We grabbed a coffee from the Timmy Ho's on Marine, filled Otto's tank and headed up to Cypress Mountain. I was only ever there once. We were filming an episode of So Weird when I had a kidney stone attack. Not fond memories. Lisa and Steve on the other hand have season ski passes there. Half way up is a viewpoint of the city.
We went all the way up to the top where the Lodge is. It's closed but there is still too much light. We drove back a few hundred meters and turned out the lights. We watched the stars through the open roof and talked about nothing. At about 11:30 a caravan of vehicles loaded with party goers rolled in. That was our cue to exit stage left. We got home just after midnight. I tucked Lisa in and started this at about 1:30. It's now 3:10 and I'm going to bed. Tomorrow/today, football all day! Go Seahawks!
That's all I got.
Till next time.
Peace Out Y'all
