Who's a Fat Bastard - I'm calling this a win!

September 1, 2014

Sitting on a log at the bay
I spent most of this morning drinking coffee and writing yesterday's blog. I went to bed last night about midnight without even turning on the computer. I was up with the alarm at 8 am and as soon as the coffee was ready and my teeth were brushed, I was at the keyboard. I was done yesterday's blog by 10:30 and five cups of coffee.
I took yesterday off and to be honest, I'm not comfortable with that from a motivational perspective. It's probably a good thing I did. I think it gave my body the time it needed to absorb my carbuncle. It was gone overnight. Still, I feel like I'm shortchanging myself when I don't workout. I was just about to start my workout when Jen and the Grandkids showed up. Hi, how are you? Go outside and play.
Trampoweenies
There's nothing they can do inside they can't do better outside! I on the other hand gave my daughter Jen a kiss and went down to the Green Room to do my workout. Lisa thinks that it's rude for me to not hang out when someone stops by unannounced. I need to do things when they need to be done. Jen gets it. If I put off my workout it is way harder to get back to it. So.....

Too fast
I was waffling on riding the Iron Maiden. I was concerned about the possibility of a carbuncle explosion.

I sucked it up and mounted the Maiden for another episode of Suits. It's really growing on me...I think.

When I finished my work out Jen and the Kids were still here and still jumping. I'm not allowed to play on the trampoline.
I had a visit with Jen then I had the kids collect Plums as I shook the tree. They're built a lot closer to the ground.
Plums from our tree
They are just coming ripe, and it's a race against the Raccoons. Though Raccoon ripe is not really ripe. They've been eating them for weeks.
Plum Suckin Coon
They don't even hide. This guy's in the pines at the back of the yard, just waiting for dark!
Jen and the kids left and I made some lunch. Buffalo sausage from the Devlins and eggs. A little tomato, an avocado and a pickle for a marvellous breakfast.

After lunch, just as I was getting ready for a shower, Next Door Gord made an appearance. I told him about the light switch and Lisa figuring it out. He said he was up all night worrying about it and had to make sure it was all good.
Someone had replaced the original three way switch with a regular switch and that was driving him nuts. I finally had to strong arm him away from the fixtures. He's the best neighbour ever!
Lisa decided we should go to the Dog Beach because we were running out of summer, and her call time tomorrow is noon. We stopped by Momma Lee's so Lisa could write out some birthday cards for her.

Nutmeg, Elvis and myself waited patiently for our trip to the beach
We were there for about an hour. Momma Lee wanted to come to the beach but that was a non starter. Momma Lee was not happy.
Off to the beach we go. Nutmeg was riding shotgun.
We packed some cheese, cherries and sausage. Then we stopped and bought some church's fried chicken.
I've never had it before, but we had a coupon. It was really good chicken. We ate right on the beach. It wasn't very busy tonight. I guess everyone is getting ready to not go to school tomorrow. At $40 a day I could pack a dozen or so into my Papa Squatch Dayscare. The three R's. Readin, Rassling and Ritalin! Though really their parents would just have to read and sign the disclaimer.

It was another beautiful sunset. Sound tracked by bad guitar playing and loudly growled vocals.

I was getting eaten alive by mosquito's. I whined for a couple of minutes and we left.

Home to blog and bed before 1 am. Woo Hoo I'm calling this a win.

That's all I got.
Till next time.
Peace Out Y'all.
