Who's a Fat Bastard - Back in the real world

July 2, 2014

Aloha from Coquitlam. It's 4:30 am and I just boosted Lisa through our window because we were playing the " I thought you brought your keys" game. At least she's little. We were up before 8:00 this morning and started packing. Our Hawaiian Wedding / Vacation was coming to an end. It was an excellent wedding with a great group of people, most of whom I may never see again, but will always remember.
As for the vacation part of the trip, Lisa loved it. I loved parts of it. The road kill fruit, the snorkeling, the end of the road at the Volcano. Even though the Volcano itself was kind of lame. The condo worked great for us, and Sparky the rental car was a trooper. Lisa somehow managed to put 854 miles on him. I say Lisa because I never got behind the wheel once. Never even touched the keys! I wanted to sit in the back and speak in a British accent, " Now be a good chap Smithers, once around the Island and home" but I couldn't fit in the back! The weather was great. On the down side I didn't think much of the beaches and the scenery did nothing for me. After a while all the Lava fields look the same, and they're everywhere!
Took Sparky back at 11:00 and caught the shuttle to the airport for our 1:15 flight. A little bit early, but we couldn't miss this flight. Did you know that you can`t bring fresh fruit or vegetables out of Hawaii? Lisa either. She had a baggie with tomato and cucumber, a giant Avocado, an apple and four pounds of cherries. We came back outside and started eating. That of course is when they called the flight to board.
Every time we get on a United Airlines flight I think of a poster I saw as a teenager.

That`s me, the passenger on the bottom, Usually. Not this morning. We checked in the bags where overweight, no charge. Tight connection in San Fransisco so they moved us closer to the front of the plane. Then we boarded early because the plane was full and everyone had checked in. Then they gave the entire plane free movies. I watched the Hobbit and Captain America 2. That was so nice of them. They made up for it later. We get off the plane forty minutes early, to find out our flight to Seattle has no flight crew. We left thirty-five minutes late. We get to Seattle and Lisa's suitcase was not. " It's on the next plane. It gets in at 1:20"  she said as she handed us two $7 vouchers "Go have a coffee on us" The every fifteen minutes shuttle to our car didn't show for an hour after we called. Lisa went back to get her bag and I went to get the car.
It's now 6:00 am and the sun is up, and so am I, but not for long

That's all I got.
Till next time
Peace Out Y'all
