Who's a Fat Bastard - WiFiless

June 9, 2014

A day late and a dollar short. No wifi. First day I have missed. I really missed it. I feel like I'm missing something. Papa Dawg and Joan are Luddites. Still writing letters!
Mind you I'm not much better. It took me till 11:30 this morning to figure out how to access my blog from another computer. They have a computer that is so old it is powered by steam! There is no card reader so no pics. I never brought my wires! Idiot!
It's Papa Dawg's birthday tomorrow and we are buying him a router. So I can use my laptop. Is that wrong? Is that self serving? Is that something I care about? Evidently not!
We have made lunch reservations at the CIA. I'd tell you about it, but then I'd have to kill you! Just kidding. Lisa is an Alumni of the Culinary Institute of America. It's in Hyde Park, upstate New York about 1 1/2 hours from Joan's place in Montague, New Jersey. The last time we went there Lisa was working on Smallville. I'm telling you, she was a rock star! I was left sitting on a bench while everyone was fawning and complimenting Lisa. It's not fair! I'm the needy actor suckling on the teats of public adoration! Stupid chefs!
We left Bridgewater and the Deckers about 11am, stopped for lunch at a diner in Chester NJ. I had a bacon cheeseburger no bun and coleslaw. Got to Montague about 2:30 to find Papa Dawg missing in action. He says he thought we were coming from DC not Bridgewater. I think he just has a little bit of sometimers. Sometimes he doesn't know what the hell is going on! I think I might have it too!
We bought Papa Dawg a guitar for his birthday last year. He has been practising most every day, and is actually making noises that are musical in nature. I commend him on learning to play at the age of seventy-six. When most men his age are winding down, he is looking to expand his universe. I hope I have that kind of mind at that age.
They had stuffed peppers for dinner and I had lamb. I made asparagus, tomato cucumber salad and a big Squatch Salad. You will have to use your imagination because I have no downloading abilities.
After dinner Papa Dawg and I strummed the guitars till midnight while Joan and Lisa chatted and looked at old pictures. Woke up at 8:30 this morning feeling energized and happy. Man, I love to travel.
Dropped off the rental car today and Peter is letting us borrow "Daisy," a 1932 Dodge Brothers Coupe. I'm going to buy a USB wire later today so should be able to download some pics.

That's all I got.
Till next time
Peace Out Y'all
