Who's a Fat Bastard - Oh yes I did

June 10, 2014

It's just short of six weeks since I started my diet. On my last Weigh Day I was 293 Lbs. That's thirty - one pounds since May second. I can honestly say, I am both thrilled and proud, not just about the weight loss, but also about the intestinal fortitude I have shown. I never new I had it in me. I have a long history of giving up. Today was a big day for me.
Today started like any other day. Up at 8:30 shower, shave and have breakfast, before we take the rental car back. We are here for another week and my Scottish nature won't let me pay $40 a day for it to sit in the drive way.

Montague Breakfast

After breakfast I woke Lisa up. It's her name on the car. Lisa is a teamster and loves to drive. I'm a fat lazy bastard and like to be driven around. Works out great for both of us. If Lisa would let me, I'd ride around in the back seat like the King of Siam. Pappa Dawg followed us to the rental place. No signs and hidden in the back of a car dealership. Booked a car for next week and where out of there in ten minutes.
Once we got back Pappa Dawg and Joan went to the gym. They go every other day. Talk about energy! Pappa Dawg is 77 today and Joan is going to kill me if I put her age on line! I grabbed a quick lunch, Chicken salad lettuce wrap and a salad.
Chicken salad and salad salad
Changed into my workout gear and hit the basement.

First, I do Girly stair pushups

Then I do four stair stretches

Last I walk on the treadmill for an hour
     In between I did this

I think I can, I think I can

Maybe not

OMG

I did it!
That's right, after forty days of trying, I did one sit up. Could I have done more? We'll never know! It was hard to do, but with most of my belly out of the way I finally made it. I feel like I've accomplished something. I feel inspired. I feel like I may do it again!
I spent the rest of the afternoon fixing Joan's computer. Nothing big. The printer wasn't working and she had 700 emails she couldn't open. All spam. At six o'clock we went across the street to their neighbours house for a meet and greet. Margaret is an interesting  woman who is moving back to England to be with her kids.

Pork and salad with apple sauce and Brussel sprouts
We ended up not eating till eight o'clock. It was worth it, the pork roast was perfect. After dinner I gave Pappa Dawg a guitar lesson and we played till midnight It's after one in the morning here, and it's Pappa Dawgs birthday now. Big plans for tomorrow. Should be fun.
That's all I got.
Till next time
Peace Out Ya'll
