I was playing the waiting game today. That's right I was waiting for the Tech from Telus. He was supposed to be here between 9 and 11. At 5 after 11 the phone rang and he told me he was checking the main box which is down on Mariner Way. He showed up about 15 minutes later along with a lift truck they had to make some changes at the pole. With Michelle living here now and everything she owns runs on Wi-Fi we didn't have enough bandwidth because I was El Cheepo. I just had the lowest level of Internet. Now they tell me we will have Wicked speed throughout the house. Well one Telus guy it was in the bucket up at the top of the pole doing whatever it was he was doing the other Telus guy was on the back deck checking the signals with the guy on the pole .
Jihang the Telus guy who I could barely understand due to his accent put on his little blue booties and got down to work. Upgraded the modem, added a signal booster and Voila... nothing. Three and a half hours later My now good buddy Jihang was on his way. We have strong WiFi throughout the house. Until Michele comes home. Her Netflix keeps cutting out and she can't stream any music through her apple TV. That was it. The whole day was spent with Jihang. He gave me his card and said to call him if I have any problems. Then the lovely Lisa stuck a pile of rosemary in his hands and sent him on his way. I will be calling him tomorrow.
That was the day. G McT stopped by and we had a nice visit. It's good to see him up and around. When he left he was loaded down with goodies from the lovely Lisa. Later that afternoon more company. Lea came by after giving Mama Lee a wash and set. We sat around talking about Squatchapalisa 14 August 13, 2016 at Casa Lisa. Mark and Lea have never missed Squatchapalisa. Their summer party is this weekend and we are really looking forward to it.
Later on the lovely Lisa whipped up a curry in a hurry using Cornish Game hen she brought from work. It was a coconut Thai curry and was fabulous. We have some travel happening in the next few weeks and Chef Boy R Lisa is taking some time off work. Squidly is arriving from his world tour before going to work in New York. for a week then her Dad and Joan are here from New Jersey and today I booked a three bedroom house for three days in Portland Oregon so we can visit with Aunt Olinka. I haven't even mentioned the Devlin's Hillbilly Hoe down on the 23rd and Clarissa is coming out for a month. My head is spinning with anticipation.
