As you can see the deck came out great. Big thanks to Christian for the hard work, to Chris for the Sawzall and help with the deconstruction and as always to Next Door Gord for being Next Door Gord.
He always makes me smile.
It was almost 7 o'clock by the time I put the last screw into the deck. There's a certain satisfaction when you finish a job and can see the end result right in front of you. A lot of what I do takes weeks or even months before I see it, before the product is complete. As I've gotten older I've gotten a lot better at it. The handyman stuff I mean. I've gotten a lot more patient. I have better tools and everything you need to know about everything is on the Internet. Smug and satisfied!
I had a long hot shower, letting the magic fingers of the waterpik release the tension built up in my neck and shoulders after a hard day of building stuff. I have to say I'm a little stiff and sore. How's that for a manly man, I work two days in a row and I'm whining like a puppy.
Its 11 o'clock at night I'm sitting here in my housecoat while the recycling sits unrecycled in the shed and garbage day looming on the morrow. I just heard from Chef boy R Lisa. She's just driving back from Langley to the studio then from the studio to home. I best get my fat butt in gear and get that recycling done.
Here's a couple of night shots of the repaired deck.
That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out y'all
