Return of the Fat Bastard - Teenage hormones and cheap perfume!

August 22nd 2016

It's late Monday night and I have been in a coma all day. Of course it was a Homeland binge watching session that put me there. I had already watched the first 3 seasons but now season 4 was on Crave TV. I started watching it while I was riding the Iron Maiden to take my mind off my throbbing ass. I started watching season 4 about 9 last night and watched the first 6 episodes before I fell asleep on the couch. I woke up to the green screen, turned off the TV and shuffled off to bed just as Chef Boy R Lisa was getting up to go to work at 1:15 am in the morning! Yes I know it's a redundancy but live with it, I like the way it sounds. Same with as far as I know, I don't know!
I wondered where it was going to go after the end of season 3 when they killed off the main character. They did a great job. I was totally involved in the twists and turns of the multiple plots. Smart and well written and some T and A too! I started again about 9 am with a replay of episode 6. Next thing you know it's 2:30 and I have drank an entire pot of coffee and watched 7 episodes in a row.

I put on pants! I had been sitting around all day in my underwear. I was going to get the band on Mama Lee's watch adjusted and then pay her a visit. I don't go to the mall that often and for a Monday afternoon it was very busy. Mostly Teenagers and Moms back to school shopping. I dropped off the watch to have the band adjusted and walked around the Lougheed Mall. It's been a while since I did anything there besides Walmart or Professional Nails where I get my Pedicures. It was having trouble competing because of the age of the mall a few years ago but with the addition of the Skytrain and the high rise Condo's being built all along the new Skytrain route it has revived the mall. The watch guy at Timeco said he could adjust the links in the band in 10 minutes for 10 dollars. I went for a walk while he worked his magic! Last time I walked around the mall there were quite a few empty shops. They seem to be all occupied now. Though the shops seemed to be mostly empty, the Mall itself was packed. It was a cold and cloudy day today so where else could you go in flip flops, tank tops and shorts? It's what every kid was wearing. Earbuds and at least 2 friends finished the ensemble. Here it comes! When I was a kid! Lol. When I was a kid, there were no malls! You got on the streetcar or the subway and it let you out in front of, or in the basement of the Eatons Store on Yonge Street downtown. And believe me there were no teenagers hanging out in Eatons. The store Dicks were on you right away if you were a teenager without a parent. No Loitering was the rule and it was enforced! Eatons was way above my pay grade anyway. When our family needed something it was
F W Woolworth's on Queen Street. It had a soda counter and pies under glass covers dotting the counter. My Mom would sit at the counter have coffee and share a piece of cherry pie with me while Garry and Wendy would sit in the Baby Carriage. There were no folding strollers! You could fit half a dozen babies inside that thing! I always felt so special sitting up on a stool that spun around drinking a coke. Of course I didn't spin around too much or I'd get a cuff upside the head. We were sure to be on our best behavior when we were out. Or you would get "it"! "It" could be anything from being sent to your room to a kick in the Arse. I never got sent to my room. First of all, "MY" room was shared with my 3 brothers. Garry, Billy and Tommy. As a matter of fact for the longest time we shared the same bed. As the oldest I slept on the outside and Garry on the other outside. The advantage being that Tommy would occasionally pee the bed. The outside edge was the driest spot. Besides, I always got kicked in the Arse!
Dr Dan and the lovely Lisa
Why am I telling you this? I don't know! Because I was so static yesterday I have nothing to write about. I didn't even do laundry. After I sat in the food court drinking bad coffee and watching the interactions of the people for 10 minutes or so I went back to watch guy who had removed 3 links and showed me how to measure it in case it was still too big. I waded my way through the stench of teenage hormones and cheap perfumes back to the car. Let's go test drive the new watchband.

Mama Lee is going through a major transition right now. Her Parkinsons does not let her exercise enough to retain muscle mass so her arms and legs are getting very thin. She hasn't been able to walk for a few years now. She was in bed when I got there. She usually goes back to bed after lunch for a couple of hours. It's still too big. I measured it the way the watch guy showed me and I will get it adjusted tomorrow. That's it. That's all I did all day.

The lovely Lisa got home and we had a bite to eat. I did the pool chemicals and added some water after she went to bed. Maybe a lot of water. I'm writing this part Tuesday morning. I may have left the hose on in the pool all night. I don't recall turning it off. Chef Boy R Lisa was up at 4:30 am this morning and I think she turned it off. I would have already heard about it but she forgot her phone on the counter.
Papa Squatch with Baby Abbie

I was thinking about going to the Heritage Grill to play some music but ultimately I sat in front of the TV watching recorded episodes of Blue Bloods till midnight!
Once again I didn't take any pictures so the ones I put up are ones I like from wherever.

That's all I've got
Till next Time
Peace out Y'all
