Return of the Fat Bastard - Bad Squatch, Bad Squatch what you gonna do!

August 10th 2016

Mardi Gras Squatch
Short and bitter sweet. That's what today's blog is. I spent the entire day bitter and stressing about the traffic stop that got my license suspended for 24 hours. I was bitter because I almost never take anything with me when I'm driving and and because I hate it when I do stupid things. I only took it because I had planned to go for Sushi at Tentatsu and thought after my audition a little appetite enhancer was in order. Bad decision, Bad outcome! I don't want to dwell on that because the reality is it could have been worse. I wasn't charged with a drug offense largely because I am approved by health Canada for my arthritic knees. That's the sweet part. Thursday I have to go through the process of getting my Drivers license and my vehicle back. The timing was not good. I was ticketed at 5 pm and the impound lot closes at 4pm 23 hours into my 24 hour suspension. Proof once again that Timing is not a city in China!
Lawn Boy

I spent the few hours that I was motivated mowing the lawn, tidying up for the party and playing the blues on my guitar. Working on a song tentatively titled. Stoned and stupid!
I got the pool ready for the kiddies, and the occasional Drunken Sailor. The levels are all good and the pool actually looks inviting. It's an illusion. I added 6 inches of hose water to it and it is probably cold enough to shrivel even the bravest penis!
At the Golden Gate Bridge from the Marin side
I borrowed a couple of saw horses from Next Door Gord to use as a Bar. As always Willie Curley sets up the Bar and decorates it with the appropriate decor. I believe he said it was going to be called Smugglers Cove! Willie always does a great job. I have a case of Miller Hi Life stashed from our Portland trip. $6.99 at a gas station in Blaine. It's one of the few days that I drink recreationally. At the party I usually open a beer, put it down to help with something or to go on stage and play and forget about the beer. At the end of the day I'll have 5 or 6 half full, tepid, flat beers lying around. At least the beers were cheap this year!
There will be music! Bill, Lea and Mark will be there.
Mid afternoon I was well into things when my friend Rick Hunter and his lady Tina showed up with party supplies. I haven't been able to find Pirate Flags in Vancouver or Coquitlam. Rick lives in Langley and is a regular reader and long time friend. He found the Jolly Rogers at a party supply out there and dropped them off yesterday. I owe him a big Thankyou.  He also donated them to the party. Rick has never missed a Squatchapalisa. His lady Tina put a smile on my face with a big bag of Lumpia. Filipino roll ups filled with ......Lump? I remember them from last year and they are good. They are now in the freezer and I'm not putting them out at the party. So There!
I started putting down the floor for the band stand and before you knew it it was 6 pm and I was getting hungry. It's funny, I used to eat when I was upset. That'll teach me. Now I just beat myself up mentally. I sparked up the BBQ for burgers for Michelle with one L and I. Made a nice Squatch Salad and suffered abuse at the hands of my tenant Chris. Something about "Who's the Bad Boy now" Bad Squatch, Bad Squatch what you gonna do!
I'll be there too. In a better mood I'm sure.
After dinner I watched some of the Olympics waiting for Chef Boy R Lisa to return from work. She didn't get home till the back of 11 pm. She is being very kind to me about this whole schmozzle. I don't know that I would be able to be so restrained. She's making it a lot easier.
I will spend the best part of today recovering my belongings and I'm sure, draining our bank account. Every sin has it's price and today it's time to pay the piper.
I didn't take a single picture today. Just not in the mood. These pics are filler from past adventures. Oh, yeah. I didn't get the part.

That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out Y'all
