Fourteen years ago today

      Fourteen years to the day. Fourteen of the best years of my life. I owe it all to the lovely Lisa. On this date fourteen years ago when we said " For richer or poorer, in sickness or in health, till death do we part, I do." She definitely got the shitty end of that stick! Particularly in the health department. We've traveled as much as we can as often as we can. We've made dear friends that we love and they love us back, because I told them to, or else! We've had our ups and downs, our disagreements just like everyone does. Not once in these fourteen years have I ever wanted to be anywhere else, with anyone else. With the new plumbing, I'm looking to fourteen more happy, exciting, loving years.

      Why do people fall in love ? What would make an intelligent, beautiful woman like the lovely Lisa fall for a guy named Squatch? I don't know and I don't care! I am grateful to whatever cosmic convergence put this deal together. The things I've put her through, the pain I have caused her and yet still, here we are. I am more in love with the lovely Lisa than ever. I can't begin to think about my life without her. I don't think that without her love and support while I was going through my Bypass  surgery, I would have made it. From the moment I opened my eyes and saw the lovely Lisa sitting beside my bed holding my hand, I knew everything was going to be alright. 

      Those first few days were very hard. I had bad issues with the drugs they were giving me and I developed several infections. I was an absolute Dick. I was short tempered and dismissive. Yet still she would come by every day. 

      You know what's funny? I just started tearing up remembering that time. I love her so much!

 Okay, now that I've made myself cry I'll leave you with this video. There is no chronological order  to the pictures, it was way too hard and time consuming. The words to the song don't correlate to the video either. I just wanted to share the happiest day I have ever had with all of you. I wrote this song as a Valentines gift for the lovely Lisa two years ago. I woke up this morning to her gentle breathing beside me and realized I still feel the same way. Of course I was only up before her because I got busted last week putting out the trash the night before. Bastards! Then I took the Ratdogs down to the vets for shots, Then I got a $196 dollar speeding ticket for going 41 in a 30 zone which I got because I was racing downtown for my 11:00 appointment. Even with the ticket and the explanation to the lovely Lisa I was there at 10:30 just as the meter guy was making his way down the street. $4.50 an hour! Are you freakin kidding me! Anyway enjoy the video. Fourteen years ago to day.

That says it all. After the first time we told each other I love you. I would ask her or she would ask me " Did I tell you I love you today?" Every day for fourteen amazing, interesting and loving years.
