Who's a Fat Bastard - Tomorrow I'm riding the Sky Train and eating an apple!

March 9, 2015

Trout Lake
Papa Squatch Dayscare was cancelled on short notice. That worked out well for me. I got my lawn cut for free! Christian ended up with the day off so he kept the kids and mowed my lawn. I have so far refused to mow, because it's March!!! Thanks Christian. I was just going to drag the Grandkids around with me anyway. I had to go down to the Genesis Office to pick up my official notebook and get instructions on where, when and to whom I am supposed to report to at 6:00 a.m tomorrow for my first shift as a Security Professional (SP). It's been a long time since I've had a straight job. I will be working at the Convention Centre for the next ten days. The TED Talks are going on. It will be a good test of whether I'm going to continue as an SP. Even when I had a real job I was the boss.
I look at the whole transition from being a working actor to an SP as just another role. I approached the job interview as I would an audition. I was prepared, personable and professional. I auditioned, and I got the role. Now the way I see it, getting the role has always been the hard part. Once you get the part, do it to the best of your abilities. It's like being a clown. "Put the on nose Squatchy, put on the nose. Once you put on the nose, the rest is just makeup!" I may not be an SP but I have played one on TV! A couple of times! I will try to be a benevolent Dictator but if push comes to shove I do have the ability to just be a Dick! I spent this whole paragraph talking about something that hasn't happened yet. I don't know why I'm so excited about it. Last week I went to set. I parked my car at the circus, they escorted me to my trailer and brought me breakfast. Tomorrow I'm riding the Sky Train and eating an apple!
I was up early and expecting the Grandkids. I should have checked my messages. Plans change and so did I. I wrote yesterdays blog then headed for the Green Room.

I haven't been able to do my full workout because of my shoulder for the last three days. I have been doing half of my floor exercises to try to protect my shoulder.

I got through the full twenty sets this morning. I have Bursitis and when it flares up, ouch. Not a dull throb but a jagged spasm of pain that goes directly to your brain and makes you pee in your shorts, just a little bit. It took me fifteen minutes longer than usual.

Side lifts, Thrusts, Front lifts, Belly crunches and No Stair stretches. Ten to a set. I finished up with 200 One Stair Steps.

No Iron Maiden today I had to get downtown.

In the shower, I spent extra time with the water pic on my rapidly stiffening joint........ My shoulder joint you degenerates! I think it really helped. It makes funny noises but I can lift my arm over my head without screaming like a little girl. Always a plus! After my week of dietary abuse and the packing on of six pounds I have rededicated myself to eating the right way.

I had a Squatch Chef Salad for lunch using last nights leftover pork loin and Salad before I packed up the Rat dogs for our trip into the big city.

I was only at Genesis for fifteen minutes. Natalie, the receptionist is the girlfriend of John the Chef who works with Chef Boy R Lisa. We talked a party a few months ago and was the reason I chose Genesis. We chatted about the weekend while I waited for one of the supervisors to come out and speak with me. When he did he gave me my Notebook and instructions on checking in at the convention centre which involved going through the garage, welcomed me to the company and was gone. Natalie handed me a map she had drawn of the Convention Centre and an easier way to check in. Main doors first door on the right. Thanks Natalie.

It was a beautiful day at Trout Lake in East Vancouver. There were a lot of dogs at the lake today.

It's in that area near Commercial Drive, a lot of Artists, free spirits and quite a few genuinely unemployable humans. Once you tattoo your face you've pretty much given up on earning a living. We spent close to an hour there.

It's a nice spot to sit in the sun and dog owners as a lot are pretty friendly people.
Friendly people?
On the way home I stopped at Value Village to see if I could find another pair of black dress shoes. Woo Hoo 50% off day. I found two pairs I liked.
New used shoes!
One Italian made with beautiful soft leather and another pair of sturdy "Cop" shoes. Both were like brand new for $11. Warmed the cockles of my Scottish Heart. While I was waiting to pay I got my Ho warning from the lovely Lisa. I headed for home with my shoes and was waiting when the lovely Lisa arrived.

We had a dinner of chicken and Squatch Salad before the lovely Lisa went to bed with a 1:15 wakeup call. Elvis is a lurker. He watches you sideways hoping you'll drop something.
Drop the chicken, drop the chicken!!
Nutmeg uses mind control!
I need another pair of black dress pants for work so I Packed up the Rat dogs and headed down to Marks Work Warehouse. I was given a card that gets me a discount on things I buy there. I got a nice pair of pleated front dress pants for $40. The discount paid the tax.
When I was done shopping I went through the drive through at Mc Donalds and got a snack size Oreo McFlurry for Mama Lee. When I got to her place she was sitting with Russel and had just turned on the Canucks game. I watched the first period with them then made the rounds with the Rat dogs. Some of the old gals get so excited when they see them. Nutmeg is friendly and sits in people's laps but Elvis bit an old lady last week when she got a little too rough. He didn't break the skin but scared the crap out of her. On the upside, she has memory issues and two minutes later didn't remember. So Elvis nipped her again! He's such a jerk!
I went home and watched the Canucks win a game against a California team for a change. I was in bed by midnight with Papa Squatch Dayscare looming in the morning. Maybe?

That's all I've got
Till Next time
Peace out Y'all

Who's a Fat Bastard - The proof is in the pudding,

March 8, 2015

Sunset at Como Lake
Get behind three days on the blog and writing it becomes much more challenging. Not the writing part. The actual typing part. I have improved greatly from where I started more than 290 posts ago. It's still nothing to write home about.  That's not what I'm talking about. I really struggled with remembering what I did and on what days I did them. I need to get back on the plan. It was weigh Day as well. Not happy about that either. Time for a reset!
I spent most of the day catching up on the blog. At one point I stopped and went down to the green Room to do my workout. I am still having the shoulder issue but I toughed it out, halfway out at any rate. By the time I got ten sets of my floor exercises done my right shoulder was on fire. I moved on to the 200 One Stair Steps and then rode the Iron Maiden for another episode of Lilyhammer. That's 42 minutes. I'm getting near the end of the second season and really enjoying it. I'm fighting the urge to sit in front of the TV all night watching episode after episode. One at a time on the Maiden, that's the deal!
I spent most of last week pretending that all the crap I was putting in my mouth was okay. I will post the picture later. It's so easy to slip into denial. A cup full of trail mix here a giant Pizza there. Next thing you know...... Fat Bastard. I am really disappointed in myself. I worked so hard to lose the weight, especially the last five or six pounds and in one week of sloppy living, of going back to the old habits and lifestyle and " They're Baaaaaack!" I'm back on the straight and narrow now but so disappointed in myself.
A gain of six pounds, Whaaaaaa
In the past I would have given up. I would tell myself that that's still forty pounds down from where I started, but that's not the point. I was feeling so good about the changes I made in my lifestyle and I have to be careful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. It would be easy to just say screw it and eat whatever I want. But I just bought a new pair of pants! Waist size 42. That's eight inches smaller than when I started. I'll be pissed if I can't get into them! I need them for work at the Convention Centre on Wednesday.
I'm not writing this looking for sympathy. I'm not trying to elicit comments about how it's okay every once in a while, because it's not okay. Not for me anyway. On my last Weigh Day I broke the 280 pound barrier and used that as a signal to backslide. Perhaps it was the fear of slipping into my Speedo at 275 pounds that triggered my gluttonous actions. It doesn't matter because the proof is in the pudding, or would be if I hadn't eaten it!
The lovely Lisa had a 1:15 wake up call and with the changing of the clock back to standard time the day disappeared in a flash. About 2:00 I made salami and eggs for the lovely Lisa and I.
I was a little late with the camera.
Fried salami for breakfast you say? I first had it in Winnipeg and it is delicious. After blunch the lovely Lisa went to the Stupor Store to do some shopping for work and I went to see Mama Lee and reset her clocks. Besides her phone, which she wears on a lanyard around her neck and always has the correct time, she has five other time pieces, all showing different times. I reset them all to the same time and spent about forty minutes with her. We sat out in the courtyard at her place enjoying the sunshine and listening to CBC on the radio.
I stopped in at Cheap Thrills for some veggies for tonight's dinner. We had a couple of pork tenderloins in the fridge that needed to be eaten. With all the company we have had we have eaten out four times this weekend. That's a lot even for us.
The lovely Lisa seared the pork and put them in the oven to finish while I made us a Squatch Salad

Little gem multicoloured potatoes

and sauteed zucchini.

We were done eating and the lovely Lisa was in bed by 6:30.
Dinner Para Mi
She needs to be up at 1:15 for work. The good thing about being back on the right time is it is daylight until nearly 8:00. I packed up the Rat dogs and headed over to Como Lake for an after dinner walk.
Como Lake at dusk
That will let the lovely Lisa get a head start on sleeping. The Rat dogs, Nutmeg in particular, will whine and scratch on the bedroom door if I leave them there.

"Get moving ya Fat Bastard!"
We did a couple of turns around the lake. The Rat dogs giving the Canada Geese a wide berth.

Back early and fully loaded
Elvis has been beaten up by them a couple of times. Nutmeg just likes to roll in their poop. We stayed at the lake till the sun went down and then made our way home.

I was in bed by midnight and asleep in minutes. I just got a new phone and don't know how to use it. The alarm went off and I sprung out of bed, pulling on my pants as I went. I had Papa Squatch Dayscare tomorrow so I had set my alarm for 7:30. I flipped the kettle on for a cup of insta Joe and looked out the kitchen window at the darkness. Darkness? I looked at the clock on the stove, 2:27 a.m. Stupid phone. I went back to bed. When the alarm went off in the morning I was up and sitting at the keyboard writing this and drinking a cup of Joe. Christian was dropping the kids off at 8:00. I should have checked my messages. There was a text from Christian saying he was off work today and would be taking care of the kids. I could have been still in bed! Not really. I had already seen the sun. I have a busy day ahead starting with a workout. I was planning on taking the Grandkids and the Rat dogs with me into town today. The Grandkids are on spring break and I was going into Kitsilano so I thought we would go to the beach for a picnic lunch. No longer an issue so I'll do my workout first.

That's all I've got
Till Next time
Peace out Y'all

Who's a Fat Bastard - It was at this point I noticed the crusty stain on the front of my shirt.

March 5, 6, 7, 2015

Thursday

Cypress Views from the lovely Lisa ski trip
Thursday started way to early. I was up at 6:30 to get downtown for 8:30. I was attending a seminar on communication with law enforcement agencies. I  ran through the shower made a  cup of insta Joe to drink as I got dressed in the dark so as to not wake up the lovely Lisa.  I would soon enough discover the folly of my ways. I wanted to get out the door as soon as possible. You never know how long it will take to get into town.
With a Joe to go in hand I was on the road by 710. The traffic was light,  the sky was blue, the sunroof was open, I had my Ray Bans on and the heater off. I was parked in the early bird parkade three blocks from my destination at 745. It was a nice walk especially on the sunny side of the street. I was sitting in the Blenz coffee bar in the lobby drinking an overpriced cup of coffee and reading 24 newspaper. That's a small free paper we have in Vancouver. It was at this point I noticed the crusty stain on the front of my shirt. Not a spot. Numerous spots! Like I was hit with a bowl of oatmeal thrown through a screen door! Left side, right side. From the collar to the belt line. It was almost the same colour as the shirt. I wiped it down as best I could and kept my jacket on.
Just like the 2010 Olympics
The seminar was at times long, the first speaker was woman from 911 who was drier than a Nuns sense of humour.  The three other speakers were Police.  The first was talking about how to make a report to the police.  The next one was a guy with a bunch of homemade videos on being alert. I guess we need more lerts! They saved the best for last. He was an active member of the Gang Squad . He spoke for two hours. He didn't sugar coat anything. He was dropping F bombs and calling these guys douchebags. It was very entertaining.  He finished up by going back through his PowerPoint presentation pointing out the dead guys from the pictures he had already shown us. At 4:30 we were given our certificates of completion and a pin to wear on our ????
Thursday night Stalker Bill and his son Sean were getting in at 10:10 from Puerta Vallarta. I picked them up at the airport, stopped so Sean could get some McDonalds and made a beeline for home. I have Papa Squatch Dayscare in the morning.

Friday

Papa Squatch Dayscare was on with a bang. The kids came screaming into the house at 8:00 while Sean was still asleep on the couch. Stalker Bill's wife Wu Ping was going to be on the 4:00 ferrry from Victoria. I dropped Bella at school at 8:45 and then took Christo to pre school for 9:30. Then I dropped the Rat dogs off at the groomers. I wasted the rest of the morning in the green room listening to Stalker Bill, who is a fine musician, playing name that tune. Bill was a professional musician when we first met thirty five years ago. I went and picked up Christo at 11:45. Fifteen minutes early so we have time for lunch before we went to watch Bella skip rope for heart disease at 1:00. Stalker Bill, Sean, Christo and I went for lunch at the Red Star/Austin Diner. We had Chinese food for lunch except for Christo.
Pancakes and bacon for lunch...Yeah Baby!
He had pancakes, bacon and eggs. When Wu Ping arrives we are going to Tentatsu for dinner.
Go Cam Ready to Go
While all of this is going on the lovely Lisa and Bro Steve are skiing the one open run on Cypress.
Bro Steve
She had a good time. It was a beautiful day and they did more than ten runs.
I thought, when I told Bella that I would come watch her skip, that this was a ten minute thing.
Skip

 Wrong
Skip

the freakin thing lasted for more than an hour.
Skip

Stalker Bill and Sean were back at the house and Christo was with me. I had to go spring the Rat dogs from the groomers. Tamara our tenant and Birthday girl on Sunday, said she would keep an eye on Christo while I went to get the Rat dogs.
Too young to skip

I admit, I could have went a little quicker. I still had to sit through another ten minutes of skipping. This is the last day before spring break starts.
To my Lou

The secretary was urging the parents who were there to take their kids home early. I say " Make em stay late!"
Skip to my Lou my Darling

After Wu Ping and her nephew Micheal arrived we went to Tentatsu for dinner.
The Stalker Bill Clan
I had stuffed squid for the first time. I liked it.
Unleash the Kraken!
The squid is warm not raw and pretty tender. The tentacles were like chewing rubber bands.
Like Jabba the Hutt

Which I did for about five minutes before I could swallow it. It kept trying to come back to life.
Assorted Sashimi

Saturday

Sean and Micheal were already up and eating leftover Tentatsu for breakfast when we rolled out of bed. Stalker Bill and Wu Ping own an accounting business in Victoria and they were meeting with a Vancouver client this morning on their way home to the Island. This was a whirlwind trip especially for Wu Ping. We said our goodbyes and I hit the Green Room with a workout in mind. This was to be my first workout in five days. I did something to my shoulder overnight and I couldn't do my floor exercises at all. Jagged pains shot through my shoulder every time I tried to move it. I did 200 One Stair Steps and rode the Iron Maiden through an episode of Lilyhammer. I haven't rode the Maiden for a few weeks and she is now back to being a pain in my ass. By the time Johnny took care of the blackmailers, I was dealing with a severe case of numb bum.
Face looks numb too!
The lovely Lisa and I went and took Mama Lee and the Rat dogs for a walk around Como Lake. I't's a workout pushing that chair! I don't want to be cruel or be seen as gloating because I live in the most incredible place in Canada and you all live in Snowville! But, this is the bestest winter ever.
We were meeting Willy, Annie and Duffy at the Rivers Reach for dinner.
Annie behind the lovely Lisa's giant piece of cake.

Half price Pizza on Saturdays. Gord and Penny were going to join us but Penny was a little under the weather. We shared some appies and a pizza and watched the Canucks go down 2-0 again in the first period. Willy had just come from the Whitecaps game. They lost and now the Canuckleheads were living down to their billing. We paid our meager tab and left after the first period. We took the Rat dogs to Annie and Willy's for a playdate with Mac and Stinkin Lincoln and a pot of tea for us.
Stinkin Lincoln

Mac a doodle doo
We had a few laughs and I showed Willy how to use my Netflix. Home in bed around midnight.
We have now sprung ahead and are back on real time. The lovely Lisa has a way early wakeup. I spent most of the day catching up on this blog and now we are taking Mama Lee on another walk around the lake.

That's all I've got
Till Next time
Peace out Y'all

Who's a Fat Bastard - I have no pictures either. Well, not many any way.

March 2, 3, 4, 2015

The Circus

Nothing tires you out more than doing nothing. I spent roughly thirty six hours over three days, to spend about twenty minutes in front of the camera, that will translate into about thirty seconds of screen time. I was however able to read two complete novels,  a Lee Child /Jack Reacher,  and a Clive Cussler /Numa  adventure. There isn't much I can tell you because of confidentiality requirements.  Here's what I can tell you. It's a Disney project called Further Adventures in Babysitting.

The best known actor in the project, other than me,  is Gabrielle Miller from Corner Gas. I have known Gabe since she was a teenager. We have the same agent . She's a massive talent and of course drop dead gorgeous. We only got to visit briefly on Monday and I will be wrapped before she is back on set. Tiny Tanya, a friend of Jennifer's is the head of the makeup department and did my makeup as we caught up on lost time. There were some strange moments on set. It used to be people would say to Jen "You're Squatch's daughter aren't you?" the lovely Lisa was Squatch's wife.  Now I'm Jens dad and the lovely Lisa 's husband. I feel like a footnote!

In what was a major wakeup call. I was approached by the stunt coordinator.  I didn't recognize him but he knew me. "Have we worked together ? " I asked.  " No, you gave a talk when I was in film school." The guy was forty years old! Another actor when I introduced myself said oh yeah I've heard of you! Christ I'm old!
The six kids that star in the show are amazing little actors. No attitude and just want to make everybody happy. Great kids, but makes for a loud and hectic set. The biggest drawback for me is Craft Services. That's where the never ending supply of sugar coated snack food is kept. The mind is strong, the flesh is weak.  I bet I put on five pounds in three days work.
Desert anyone?
The first thing that happens when you get to set is breakfast . You can do the express breaky or custom order.  I do the express. Scrambled eggs with bacon and turkey sausage. I generally eat by myself in my trailer. Not being one of the leads on this show I am in what they call a four holer. This is a trailer with four rooms each with a very small bathroom and a TV with no reception. That's why I went through two novels. Normally I would stay in my trailer at the circus,  that's what they  call the area where the dressing rooms, hair/makeup and cast trailers are . In this case the circus was a ten minute drive from set. My wardrobe is waiting for me and on this particular show it could have come from my own closet. Once I'm dressed I go through the works. I  and the characters I play are usually wash and wear. They take the shine off my nose and forehead and kick me to the curb . Now I hurry up and wait. I have been in the first scene all three days. There's a lot of rules when you're working with kids. They not only have to do the show but also have to fit in three hours of school out of the nine hours they are allowed to be on set. Every kid has to have at least one parent present at all times. Because of the distance between the circus and the set we had a green room.  At times there were thirty people in there. It was at times deafening. I had a great time. Two of the days I was in the first shot then sat around until lunch  before shooting again.
Dinner

Fortunately craft service is nearby. I started nibbling on trail mix. I probably ate five pounds of it.
I'm only kidding, but not by much. I was wrapped for the film at lunch time on the third day.         Even after only three days on set you develop a real rapport with the cast and crew. John Shultz, the director stopped the work and announced that I was wrapped for the show to  much applause. I'm not sure if it's because I did such a great job or if they were just happy to see me go. Lots of handshakes and back slapping and see you laters.
Night time at the circus

I ate with John the director and Gary the 1st ad before leaving for good.
I was just making sure they knew how much I enjoyed working with them and how much I look forward to working with them again. That's right, I was sucking up like a son of a bitch. I will see them one more time because I left my cell phone charger in my trailer and will stop by the circus after I finish the seminar I am taking with the RCMP today. Oh yeah, I haven't done a workout all week and I'm riddled with guilt. back on the plan tomorrow. That's life on set. I have no pictures either.

Who's a Fat Bastard - I still can't eat the toes!

March 1, 2015

Heather in the Garden
I reached new heights of laziness. The only reason I got out of bed at all was the lovely Lisa enticed me with promises of dim sum.

It was after 1:30 when we left the house. We took the Rat dogs with us. They needed to go out, and we also needed to do some grocery shopping. So we thought we would stop at Maklin park with the dogs on our way for dim sum and then shopping at the Stupor Store since they are all in the same neighborhood. I forgot that it was Festival Du Bois in Maillardville and Macklin Park was turned into a money sucking pit that doesn't allow dogs. We went two years ago. It cost $50 for the four of us to get through the gate so we could pay $9 for a cardboard plate of Poutine. No wonder Allouette is so jaunty! On the bright side it started to rain.
We drove down to the other side of the highway along United Boulevard. We found a ravine that runs all the way down to the Fraser River there. It has a creek that runs through it and a bike path. It was obvious that there are a lot of dogs using this space, and a lot of bad dog owners who don't clean up after their dogs. Big dogs. And possibly some kind of animal capable of pinching off a loaf the size of a small child! That was the dump that broke the Poop Fairy's back! We walk the dogs for fifteen, minutes dodging the massive dog bombs, then headed to dim sum.
Squid
I ate another chicken foot. For years I have refused to even try them. Then last time at dim sum It came on the special with rice and steamed ribs.

I looked over at Peter, stuffing a couple of dumplings into his mouth at once and thought, I'm already grossed out!

I started at the top and it tasted not bad. Kind of crunchy and very sweet.

I ate down to the ankle and steeled myself to eat the ball of the foot. What if it pops in my mouth like a busted carbunkle! It was tasty but,  I still can't eat the toes! We ordered shrimp stuffed eggplant to go, for Mama Lee.
After dim sum we went to the Stupor Store. It's in the same Plaza as the dim sum. Lisa handed me a giant list of things we needed and went off with a list of her own. Things she needed for work. Every once in a while I would look up and there she was with an arm full of groceries. It was 5:00 by the time we got home. The lovely Lisa was going to bed within the hour and I was going to the Jam at the Legion. We sat there for an hour talking about how we totally wasted the weekend. How it was so nice today we should have went and played golf or something. Instead the lovely Lisa went to bed and I went to the Jam at the Legion.
There was a solo act on stage when I got there. He was playing a nice acoustic version of Dust in the Wind. I was up next with Andre and a drummer. I started with Flip, flop and fly and had the dance floor moving by the time I got to the chorus. I played eight or nine songs, all of them up tempo all of them keeping the people on the dance floor. I left as soon as I was off the stage. I have my first day on set tomorrow.
I got an email reminding me about confidentiality. I can't tell you where we are, what the story line is, no pictures of the set or costumes posted. I can tell you the movie is " Further Adventures in Babysitting" it's a Disney Production. I have one scene and three days work. The kids in this show are amazing. Smart, polite and well spoken. Looking forward to the working environment.

That's all I've got

Who's a Fat Bastard - "The Glasga Goormets"

February 28, 2015

Breakfast at 1:00
February is the shortest month of the year and the and 28th of February turned out to be the shortest day of the year. That's because Saturday the 28th, I didn't get out of bed until 11:30. After the previous night Birthday bash for Lea, and the consumption of far too many reality altering substances. I slept like a dead thing! Well, that was until my  seven hour bladder alarm went off. Being careful not to look outside, I was able to crawl right into bed and go back to sleep.
By the time I got my self together it was noon and the drippy Joe was already cold. I nuked it and drank it anyway. It must have been all those years of working in the bars. Who else but the staff drink coffee? It's usually been sitting there since the Bartender came on shift several hours ago. Now that's a solid cup of coffee. Reduced to the point the cream can't penetrate the coffee. That's why you have spoons.
Tommy

I don't know where the time went. By the time I finished writing Friday's blog it was 6:00 and I was still in my pajamas. We were going to a party tonight at Tommy Fulton's. We were supposed to be there around 7:00 and I hadn't even had a shower yet. It was just after 7:00 when I was ready to go. Once we had the Rat dogs ready and were actually sitting in the car it was 7:30. Not bad for us.
Tommy is a general contractor and has the most partycentric home I have ever been in. Two thirds of the entire main floor is kitchen in the centre of it is the cooking area and an island 8 feet by 24 feet that you can put twenty people around. Tommy is also a gourmet cook, strange since he's from Glasgow, and his parties always focus on food and drink. Tonight it was an Appy party. We brought a Pickle and Cheese plate that was a big hit. There were about twenty guests and everybody brought potluck. All of the food was amazing.
Tommy and Lorna and Happy Appy's

Tommy was hunched over the stove when we arrived Two different curries simmering on the stove and Tommy putting together Brochettas with Chorizo.
Tam and Willy "The Glasga Goormets"

My favourite was when Willy made puff pastries full of lobster and scallops that Annie and Willy brought back from Nova Scotia last summer.
Sofa King Good!

Tommy had a nice Fender guitar that was maybe thirty years old. I didn't know he even played.

After I had eaten I sat out by the fire pit on Tommy's back deck. Strumming tunes while Tommy and his lady Lorna were the absolute best hosts ever.  Never an empty plate or glass is Tommy's moto.

The lovely Lisa and I left with the first wave of deserters about  midnight. That's early for a Scots party. There was no Lassie greetin and nary a punch had been thrown. With only the hard core left  to uphold the Scot's tradition of Sunday morning hangovers, we said our goodbye's.
Four minutes from Tommy's to our house. When we got home we did what most married couples do on a Saturday night at midnight. The lovely Lisa went to bed and I watched the taped Maple Loafs lose another game. It makes me feel better about the Canucks.
