Sitting at the bar at the Heritage Grill drinking coffee old enough to bend the spoon. I'm up first at the Open Mic. I made a point to get here before the sign up board came out. I was fifth in line but hardly anyone wants to go first. The one spot which was still open when Vic who was right in front first said. "You want to go first, I'll go fifth if you do." "Sure" I said as I wrote my name first on the list. Vic's a good guy. A talented singer/ songwriter with a country bent. I settled in for the short wait. Free WiFi so I could start my Blog and strong coffee. Does life get any better?
Chef Boy R Lisa has an early call time and after all the work she has done the last two days we had a very relaxing morning. Enjoying the beautiful fall weather and eating leftover turkey sandwiches. Open faced with sausage stuffing and gravy. " We don't need no stinkin veggies" It's eight hours later and I'm still stuffed.
I was just handed a piece of cake. It's Maxine, one of the Ukeladies, birthday.

Back at home. I spent a couple of hours writing about our Thanksgiving. Once again I want to thank everyone who was here for making our Thanksgiving dinner so enjoyable. If you weren't here the lovely Lisa and I would have a lot of turkey to eat! About 2 in the afternoon we went to visit with Mama Lee. On the way we stopped at Mundy Park so the Ratdogs could run around a bit. There were a couple of other dogs there. Not that the Ratdogs play with them. Nutmeg hides behind the lovely Lisa and Elvis will try to hump anything near his size, if it's a big dog. Then he attacks!
Mama Lee has a hard time using the phone now so while we were there we tried to call Dr Dan in Prince George. We weren't able to get through to him. We left Mama Lee and headed down to the Stuporstore to do the shopping for Chef Boy R Lisa's work. It was a piece of cake or should I say Pumpkin pie! Probably served with Vanilla Ice Cream because there was only one four litre tub of Vanilla Ice Cream left and I usually buy three, Once I brought chef Boy R Lisa Ice Milk and I was soundly chastised! For the first time in six seasons the fine cast and crew of Once Upon A Time got something other than Vanilla Ice Cream. Chocolate and Butterscotch Ice Cream. Way to get out of the box Chef!

"Because You would be in Jail!"He may be a Douchebag but give credit when due. That was the best line in the debate. The rest was just nasty Bullpuckies!
At 5:30 I looked up from Monday night football to see the lovely Lisa eating a turkey, avocado, cranberry Bunwhich! I was still stuffed with the stuffing I had for lunch. Just after 6:00 the lovely Lisa appeared out of nowhere showered and pajama'd and blocking my view of the game. I watch /listened while she was telling me something. A kiss goodnight and she was off to bed with a 1:45 call time. I watched Monday Night Football until I headed to the Heritage Grill. I played three Originals with Greg on lead guitar, Vic on bass and Mark on drums. We played "I miss you" "Walls around your heart" and finished with "Great Canadian Blues" I've posted them before. Now I'm posting them again. Actually I think I'll record them now then make you suffer through the acoustic versions.
Be right back!
I miss you and Walls around your heart ended up together because I couldn't figure out how to save them separately until after I had already given up trying to save them separately. That was just the beginning of my technical ineptitude.

While I was recording the last song the battery died in the camera. So I changed the battery, then my guitar chord failed half way through a take. I went and got another guitar chord which also failed half way through the song. I was now down to my last guitar chord. It's only eight feet long. That's what you call getting close to your work. It took at least six takes to get it down.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and listen to my songs.
That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out Y'all
