Return of the fat bastard - you have to love me, just like it says in the owners manual!

June 19th 2016

With Abigail and Braxton
Happy Father's Day! That's what people say to you even when they're not even your kids or at least not that you know of? I have always told my daughter every day is Father's day because I'm your father every day and you have to love me just like it says in the owners manual! It's not that I've been an exceptional Father. As a matter of fact I wasn't a Father at all for 16 years or so. I guess I'm making up for lost time. For me, every day truly is Father's day. Any dick can be a Father, now I try to be a Dad
For now let me catch you up on the rest of our Campbell River adventure. We woke up to grey skies and ongoing squalls of nasty weather.
The lovely Lisa just said I'm very flowery. I think she means I smell like a petunia! How much harder do you think this is to do with the lovely Lisa helping me?! You see I'm doing this on my phone and we are sitting in the car at the ferry terminal in Nanaimo with a minimum of a 1 sailing wait. Another example of our tax dollars at work. And I'm using the talk to text feature so she can hear everything I'm saying.
Back to Campbell River. We were invited up to Daryl and Meaghan's for a Saturday morning brunch at 10 o'clock. Between Karen's broken leg, Abigail the baby and my general lackadaisical attitude we were out of there by 10:21. It used to be that you would just drive straight up General Hill Cross the BC Hydro Dam take a Logging Road for a couple of clicks then turn down an even worse Road to their kilometer-long driveway. Now you have to go the long way around. You head toward Gold River and take a left. It winds around until it dumps you on another Logging Road which you follow until you reach the Devlin Logging Road which then puts you on the goat path to their driveway. I don't really care about the road because we're in Stu's Lincoln Town Car.
This is the third time that I have written that same paragraph. I keep forgetting to save it then the phone rings and I answer it and then it's gone! Start over again. We were met at the car by Sally the dog and all 3 of the kids We walk into their house past a giant buffalo head and see Meaghan in the kitchen cooking sausage contributed by the aforementioned Buffalo.
Buffalo Sausage, Dreadlock Rasta
Buffalo sausage, hash browns, ham,and French toast. She put on a great spread. Here are some pictures of the Devlins.

Grampa Stu and Abby
They have an acreage up there and I walked around with Daryl showing me the improvements he was making.
Stu and I perusing the pond
Looks like there's going to be water in the pond for this year's hillbilly hoedown. They have about 10 hummingbird feeders hanging up outside there sliding door I've never seen so many hummingbirds.

We had talked about perhaps playing a little golf we did bring their clubs but it was already 2 in the afternoon and raining. We went into Quality Foods and Stu bought a couple of racks of ribs. When we got back to Stu's the lovely Lisa prepared the ribs and put them in the oven. Then everyone went and had a nap. It worked out alright. I got to write Friday's blog chat with Karen, who was the only other person awake in the house and watch Family Feud. All in all a pretty good afternoon.
While the lovely Lisa was asleep Chef Boy R Lisa took over her body! She came out of the bedroom a whirling dervish! Ribs out of the oven. Corn on the cob and potatoes into the oven. "Get out here and make a salad Scullery Squatch!" came the call from the kitchen. So I did. Don't mess with the Chef! The ribs were as always, excellent. After dinner we watched a couple of movies. Spy with Melissa McCarthy, laugh out loud funny and then Ted 2 Juvenile and sophomoric which is why I had to laugh under my breath so the lovely Lisa would stop staring at me like I was an idiot. That doesn't mean I'm not an idiot. Just saying.
I got a message from my daughter Jen saying she wants to take me to the Keg. I don't really like the Keg. I think if your Waiter sits down at your table he should pay his share of the cheque! When the lovely Lisa and I get home Jen is going to come over and have a visit. Of course the lovely Lisa will already be in bed. She has a 2:30 call time. Also Lisa is not Jennifer's father just in case you hadn't noticed.
Okay now we're back Sunday morning. We've been sitting in the ferry line up for one full sailing now. The fare taker said we may or may not get on the 2:10 Ferry. They just made the announcement that they were getting ready to load the boat. We have our fingers crossed and legs  and eyes and I may ritually sacrifice one of the Ratdogs.
We said our goodbyes in Campbell River and hit the Inland Island Highway. Normally we would take the scenic coastal route but we have to get back to Vancouver at a reasonable time so Chef Boy R Lisa can go to work at an unreasonable time.
We didn't have a lot of time but we needed to stop and see our friends Deb and Spence in Qualicum. Their son had a horrific motorcycle accident 3 weeks ago. He's an amazing kid. We stopped by and saw him and he looked and said he felt pretty good. He is such an active and healthy kid everyone has been amazed at his recovery. We were barely there for a cup of coffee and we were gone. With Lisa Andretti at the wheel we got here just in time to sit in the ferry lineup for, I don't know 2 hours? And we ain't on yet!

That's all I've got for now
Till next time
Peace out y'all

Return of the Fat Bastard - Take me now Jesus!

June 17th 2016

I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. I was up till 2 am writing and slept like a baby once I was in bed. Okay a large noisy, funky smelling baby but...still a baby. I rolled out of bed the back of nine to find the coffee cooking and Karen, Allie and the baby up. Karen broke her ankle in a spectacular fall on a rock strewn beach. Ouch!
Karen and Allie...probably playing Wheel of Fortune
What a cutie. Abigail
The lovely Lisa, Stu and I went shopping in town at the Stupor Store. Fruit, veggies and a ham for dinner. This of course all happened about noon. We spent the entire morning playing with the baby when it was announced that we were going on a short hike to Elk Falls and the new suspension bridge. After ignoring the food we bought at the store. we noshed on food we brought up in the cooler. About 1:30 we went on our hike to Elk Falls.
Elk Falls Provincial Park is one my favorite places to be. It had been totally logged in the 1900s  then in 1938 a fire destroyed the town and thousands of acres of forest. The most striking thing about the place is that the trees all grew back....who Knew!
It's home to some of the largest trees on Vancouver Island. There is also Moose Falls and Deer Falls. It's a hell of a long way down to the falls. No problem! Strangely it's a hell of a long way back up from the falls. My chest felt fine. My lungs were definitely fully expanded. The problem was my legs most notably my knees. I could feel it on the way down but on the way up my Arthritic knees were screaming! I wasn't screaming just whining. Take me Jesus, take me now! Allie, who was packing Abigail in a Bjorn, and I were ready to quit when Stu started telling us about how is 85 year old Mom walked the trail last year. Left, right , left, right .When we got up from Elk Falls we continued on to Moose Falls a place were we had spent many sunny days swimming and drinking gallons of beer and cases of Schloshedallthetime the year of the beer strike. At the Moose falls trail head I called it quits. If I went down to the falls I would have to walk back up. My knees would not like that. Plus Allie was on my side she was packing a 20 lb baby on her chest! I'll let the pictures tell the story.
87 stairs to the suspension bridge after 1.2 K down hill on the trail
It's called a suspension bridge because when you look down your sphincter snaps shut
Ratdogs don't like steel grates

A moment suspended in time?

Some thing started squeeking at me...Bats?

Big Tree ....Little lady

Elk Falls
Yes Squatchy, I love you this much
We were there until 4:45. I was bagged by the time we got back to the car. I kept stopping to take pictures and dream about the Aleve waiting at home.
The lovely Lisa had thrown the Ham into the oven before we left for our hike so it was ready when we got back to Karen and Stu's. Potatoes on the stove, corn shucked and ready to go and I threw together a Squatch Salad. We had a great meal and after dinner we went to visit an old friend Angie Swim.
With Angie and The lovely Lisa.
I've known Angie since she was 16 years old trying to sneak into the bar. Recently married she's moving to Marin County near San Francisco with her new husband. We are looking forward to visiting her in the near future. I have said this before and I will say it again. Don't invite us to visit if you don't mean it. We will show up. Especially if you live somewhere nice! We spent an hour or so with Angie then back to Stu and Karen's where we watched The Martian. It was good. I like Matt Damon and he was excellent. After the movie Karen and the lovely Lisa went to bed and Stu and I stayed up and watched the second half of Mad Max. It was OK. great action scenes but lamo story.
A full day and now my knees are throbbing a day later. Oh well, another Aleve and life goes on.

That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace Out Y'all

Return of the Fat Bastard - Kickball and Abigail

June 16th 2016

Our house from the Cherry tree, picture by Lisa Wallenda!
I got up this morning thinking it was bright and early to find Stu sitting out on the front deck reading the newspaper and listening to his iPod. I thought I was doing well because it was 9 o'clock but Stu had been up since 6:15. That's largely because his family who live in Ontario are evidently not familiar with the concept of time zones. So the first call from Ontario came in at 6:15. Give Stu credit he went to bed at 1:30 and he got up and answered his phone. I made a pot of coffee and we continued on with our binge-watching of Bosch.
Our plan was to be on the 12:50 ferry from Horseshoe Bay. At 10:00 I started to rally the troops the lovely Lisa went off to pack, Stu was already packed as was I. We had lots of time. At 11:45 I found the lovely Lisa up our cherry tree picking cherries for our trip.
Cherries
More Cherries
At 12:05 I started making lunch because we had already missed the 12:50 ferry. I made chicken salad sandwiches from the chicken I baked last night. We enjoyed our lunch and decided we would leave early to get on the 3:00 ferry at Horseshoe Bay. We watched episode 10 of Bosch. That was the first season final episode. We were out the door at 1:30 for the 45 minute drive to the ferry terminal at Horseshoe Bay. We were in the catbird seat. The lovely Lisa said put the terminal into the GPS so I put it in my phone and it told me that the 3:00 was full and the next one was at 5:45. I was on the B C Ferry sight so I checked the Tsawwassen to Duke point and the 3:15 was only 70% full. We took the highway to Boundry Road down to Marine Way to the Knight St bridge followed the ferry signs then jumped the huge line for the Massey tunnel by using the HOV lane.

After the tunnel it was clear sailing all the way to the terminal at 2:55. Lisa Andretti had done it again!
"You may or may not get on the 3:15" the unsmiling face said to the lovely Lisa as he sent us down row 27 to await our fate. I took the Ratdogs over to the dog area to let them tinkle. Just as the announcement came to return to your vehicles, Elvis decided to drop a McNugget for me to pick up. I was back to the car in plenty of time. The line started moving, first the 2 lines to our right then our line. As we approached the traffic guy he stepped forward and pointed with one hand as he held up the other hand in the international sign for stop at the car right behind us.
Just made it!
We were on! Woo Hoo! That was close! They ended up adding 4 more cars to our deck and we were off! We were right out on the back deck sitting in the sun and the car would be too hot for the Ratdogs. I stayed with the Ratdogs while Stu and the lovely Lisa went to get coffee for us all.
Stu and the paper

We made it!!! Yay!!
Stu returned with newspaper in hand while the lovely Lisa brought me a cup of Jo. Half way to Duke Point the lovely Lisa and I went upstairs to see if I could poach some wifi. It turns out that the ship we were on is the only one in the fleet that doesn't have wifi!  They did have a Galaga game, the lovely Lisa's favourite video game.

We went up to the outside deck staring at the beautiful blue skies we were leaving behind
Beautiful blue skies behind us.
and looking ahead at the ominous clouds we were going towards.

We were on the Inland Island Highway straight off the ferry at Duke Point. It takes you around Nanaimo and puts you out just south of Nanoose Bay. We stopped at the PetroCan there, bought coffee's and let the dogs do their thing.
PetroCan rest stop
Elvis and Nutmeg stretching their legs.
15 minutes later we were back on the Highway and the GPS said we would be there by 7:20. So far we had been making great time and the weather was co- operating. There were some dark looking clouds around but so far we had stayed dry The Ratdogs were riding in luxury and loving it!
And where is the Grey Poupon
. We had the sunroof open and the radio up loud when the first wave of rain hit. For the next 100 k it came in waves.
Wipers on stun!
Some places were bone dry and other places were soaking wet. Nothing for Lisa Andretti. She set the cruise control for 130 k and pointed Otto straight north.
We pulled into Campbell River just as Meaghan and Daryl were starting their game of Kickball.
Meaghan

Daryl
They play on the field right behind Stu and Karens house .They have a Kickball league here. The team they play on is called ``The bases aren`t loaded but we are`` Try putting that on a T shirt! I hung out on the bench with the players watching the game and taking pictures of Abigail the newest Murray.
Abigail and her Mom Allie
The Beautiful and nearly brand new Abigail
Meaghan`s 2 daughters wanted me to take them back to the house so they could see Grandma Karen and use the bathroom.
This is Caydance
The game ended just as we got back to Stu`s. I was hungry and Meaghan had left some spagetti for us. I saw Stu and the lovely Lisa noshing down so I put a little bit of noodle on my plate and a couple of ladles of meat sauce shook some Parmesan on top and put a mouthful of cold spagetti in my mouth. I`ve had better! I`m not sure if it was hunger or embarassment that got me to finish my plate of cold spagetti....but I did.
Daryl. Meaghan and the kids hung out for a while but it`s a school night. When they were gone Stu brought out the pictures he had brought back from his Mom`s. About 8 big picture albums. Lots of pictures of Mary of course her kids and her grandkids. Albums going back to the early 80`s. Vacations in Florida and Calfornia. We all look so young. Bittersweet memories knowing there won`t be anymore memories made with Mother Mary.
Around 11:00 everyone went to bed and I sat here writing about the days events. Thinking about the amazing people in my life. About how resilient they have been over the last few years.
Caydance, Abby and Grandpa Stu
They have been a second family to me for more than 35 years. I love them all!

That`s all I`ve got
Till next time
Peace out Yàll

Return of the Fat Bastard - Goodbye Mother Mary

June 15th 2016
Early (circa 1986) promo shot

The day started off the same way it has for the last 3 days. Cold and rainy. I had set my alarm for 6:45 so I could take the garbage out after being busted last night. Usually once I see the sun I'm done .  But I stayed up last night until the lovely Lisa went to work at 2:30 a.m. so running on 4 hours sleep I was able to go back to bed and slept till 8:45  when the alarm went off again . I got things to do !
We are off on another road trip. This time to Campbell River with my best friend Stu who I'm picking up at the airport at 2:30 this afternoon. Then Lisa and I are going to take him home to Campbell River. He and the whole Murray Clan have suffered a tragic loss and I want to be there for him and with him.
Back  to this morning. I barely had the first cup of Joe in me when Christian came through the back door. I had a load of stuff to drop off at Value Village and I had told him yesterday we would go to Home Depot and find him a toilet. I told him with all the Mexican food he eats he should get a nuclear-powered one! But I digress. I dropped off a bunch of stuff we needed to get rid of that was still usable at Value Village and in return they gave me two packs of flower seeds and 25% discount card.
It turns out they don't actually make nuclear powered toilets. However they do have electric ones. Ahhhhh a cold morning a crossword and a heated seat!
The bathroom in their condo is teeny tiny so we needed to make sure we got the proper size and shape bowl. Also you want the taller one. The 16 and a half incher. I'd hate to have my knees seize up if I ever had to drop a nuclear dump there! I have my own gastrointestinal issues with Mexican food. But damn it it tastes so good. We picked out the appropriate apparatus and brought it back to put in one of my sheds waiting for me to return from the Island to install it.
No sooner did Christian leaves then Michele arrived. In between loads of possessions headed down to the Green Room we sat out on the front deck and had coffee surrounded by the amazing array of plants that the lovely Lisa installed and I am tasked with keeping alive.
Hanging Baskets

Fuchsias

If I had my way, if you are going to grow something, I prefer to grow something you can eat. Ergo my beautiful tomatoes.
RONA .50ers
Raised from seed

.50 tumblers

The lovely Lisa always tells me that there are lots of edible flowers. This is true, and they all taste like shit!
While Michelle was tinkering downstairs I was cancelling a couple of appointments that we won't be able to make because we're going to the island. Most notably the Ratdogs Vet visit. They  need their booster shots.
Michele had a shelf that fit perfectly in the laundry room. That solves a storage problem nicely. I'm way ahead of the game. The sun came out  I'm sitting on the front deck surrounded by the aroma of the Jasmine drinking coffee and I already have this much written.
Jasmine
Now it's time to head to the airport and pick up Stu. I'll be back later!
And later it is. 12:30 am and Stu and I are binging on Bosch. Great series on Crave TV. Prior to that I only had to circle the airport three times before the parking Nazis would let me stay long enough to actually meet Stu. On our way cross town to fill me in on the events of Mary's funeral. She was 86 years old and has been a great deal of her life helping others through her church and through the seniors centers in Oakville. She had touched so many people's lives that there was an overflow crowd at the church. We reminisced about vacations we took in Florida and California and times spent together over more than 35 years. Mary was one of the few people in my life I never saw angry, I never heard her raise her voice to anyone. We had plenty of time to catch up since I made the mistake of driving home through New Westminster. With the construction that is going on it took 20 minutes to go 10 blocks. Stu has had nothing to eat but toast at the airport so we put his gear in the house and walked over to the Austin Diner for a bite. They make very good diner food and they have several big screen TVs that were showing the Blue Jays beating up on the Phillies.
I threw a chicken in the oven. Because the lovely Lisa told me to. Stu cracked a bottle of wine and we toasted Mary's memory. She is now and always will be missed. When the lovely Lisa got home we had Chicken & Ribs for a 9:30 dinner. And that brings us to now. 6 episodes of Bosch later we called it a night. Off to the River on the 1 o'clock ferry.

That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out y'all

Return of the Fat Bastard - Rainy Day Reorganization

June 14th 2016

I'm sure everyone has a rainy day list. Mine is about 40 items long. Well today was that rainy day. Most of the things on my tray need a list of things that I have already halfway completed. Then the Sun comes out I stop whatever I'm doing and go play golf. Subsequently only one of two light fixtures is installed in the green room.  And after a full day of puttering around there's still only one light in the green room.
I did however manage to waste half an hour gluing the bridge back on my ukulele that only has three strings.

Three strings, four strings what's the difference they all sound the same to me. I have to be careful what I say, those Ukelele players travel in packs!
I did the pool treatments in the rain. One litre of liquid pool chlorine. $3.49 I gallon of Javex $2.39. Okay, it turned a kids hair orange last year, Hey, he thought it was pretty cool. His Mom ....not so much!
While I was doing the pool the rain slowed down to the usual wet air we on the left coast are so familiar with. It seemed like I could see the cherries getting bigger as they absorbed the rain. I climbed up on the ladder and was immediately drenched as the still wet leaves released there liquid all at once. I picked/ate a dozen or so cherries before the next wave of rain came through thunder and lightning driving me off the ladder and scrambling for shelter. Up a cherry tree on an aluminum ladder didn't seem like such a great idea. When I got dried off and into the house the Ratdogs were apoplectic with fear! I sat with them for half an hour until Nutmeg stopped panting and shaking. Elvis is a little better he's old and it only takes him a couple of minutes to forget what scared him.
Christian stopped by and helped me move a bunch of stuff up from the green room in preperation for our friend Michele moving in.The attic is filling up fast! But the green room is ready to go...almost. I think tomorrow I'll do a how to install a flush mount ceiling light video.
I can't find my drill. That's why I didn't get the shelves up in the laundry room. I did however finish the laundry that I left in the dryer yesterday.
I played guitars. In the living room my acoustic and in the office my electric. Between songs I folded laundry, watched the Bluejays game, sorted 3 boxes of crap from the green room. Almost all of which is Value Village bound.
It was now 3 in the afternoon and I had eaten nothing but a dose of Metamucil and six cups of Jo. I had a leftover Squatch salad in the fridge and had two big bowls of it with my homemade Italian dressing. I trimmed my tomato plants on the front deck. They're doing real well. Some I grew from seed and some I paid .50 for at RONA. I got the recycling and the compost ready for pick up tomorrow morning.
Time to get dinner going. Chef Boy R Lisa went to work at 3 am so she should be home about
7 pm. I have a nice boneless lamb roast I'm going to dress with herbs and stud with garlic. I cranked up the oven to 450 and prepped the Lamb when the oven was ready I put it in and turned the oven down to 350 and set the timer for 90 minutes. I peeled, cubed and parboiled 2 potatoes and prepped the asparagus. I tossed the potatoes in olive oil and chopped cilantro and put them in the oven for the last 30 minutes. I'm trying to be descriptive because I was lamo with the camera. I set the thermometer for medium rare and the alarm went off 15 minutes after the lovely Lisa got home. I let the lamb rest while I steamed the asparagus.
Rama Lamba Yum Yum
After dinner the lovely Lisa went to bed and I packed up the Ratdogs for a visit with G McT. The Ratdogs dogpiled  as soon as they got through the door. I had coffee and we talked baseball and football and Basketball and all the other ball stuff that guys talk about including hockey even though they don't use a ball. Unless it's ball hockey. He's looking a little better these days and is in pretty good spirits. His eye surgery went very well and he's happy to be able to see again. One eye done, one to go!
I have to go readers digest on the rest of this. It's getting late and I have a full day tomorrow. I got home and started taking the trash and recycling out into the back alley. I was busted! The bylaw officer caught me putting out the garbage and compost. It's not supposed to go out until 6 am because of the bear issues. He let me off with a warning but said next time it's $150 fine. I dragged the bins back to their place and set my alarm..
As I have mentioned we have been getting lots of cherries off our tree. Usually the birds get most of the cherries but this year we hung up CDs in the trees and it scared away the birds. It however does seem to attract the Racoons. They flash in the light and throw the light all over the yard. It's like a Racoon Rave. I heard a noise out front and there were at least two up the tree digging the lights and stuffing their faces. I can't believe I didn't take a picture.

That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out Y'all

Return of the Fat Bastard - Road trip hangover and another one bites the dust.

June 13th 2016

I had forgotten about how much time it takes to write a blog. After the drive down from Prince George , we got home about 10:30, I was up until 4 am writing yesterday's post. Of course the phone started ringing at 9 am. I could have hurt myself trying to get to the phone ! And by the way as I told the heavily accented man on the phone " I don't give a shit what new products Telus is selling!"
As you may recall from previous posts if I see the sun I'm up. Not only did I see the sun, I saw I had a message from the night before.
The lovely Lisa was up and the smell of Jo filled the kitchen with the aroma of morning. There was a short message from a name from the past. Before I could call back my son in law stopped by to see how our trip was. He had a couple of cups of Jo and we caught up on the events of the weekend.
I finally got a minute to return the call from Patty Gibson. Have you ever had that feeling in the pit of your stomach that something is terribly wrong? I got that feeling as soon as I heard her speak. Her attempt at small talk sent shivers down my spine. Thankfully She got right to the point.
"John passed away Saturday" He had brain Cancer. It's been one hell of a year for losing friends and relatives. Mama Mary Murray was killed the week before while crossing the street in a crosswalk.
The point is, John was one of those friends  who at one time you were really tight with and over time you drift apart. Life can get in the way. Yet every time we ran into each other we just fell back into our comfort zone. The only time I was sure I'd see him and Barb was at Squatchapalisa.
He also supplied the taped music for our wedding. He could do anything with a computer. I wondered why we didn't see him last year. Funny, I haven't seen him for over a year and already I miss him.
I'll tell you straight up, it kicked me right in the sack!. I had things I should have been doing but my heart wasn't in it. I sat in my office playing sad songs on my guitar and thinking about the people who have been torn out of my life lately and I can't help but feel guilty about still being here. 7 hours on the table, 3 months of recovery and I feel like a new man. Not so for Ronnie, Penny, Mary and now John. I try to use my good fortune and second chance to be a better person. Sometimes I succeed. We all say it but how many of us actually do it? How many of us live each day like it will be our last. How many of us tell the ones we love that we love them. Don't wait till it's too late.
While I was wallowing in a funk that I couldn't shake. The lovely Lisa made an executive decision " Put your pants on we're going to go see Mama Lee" and I knew just like on Star Trek.... Resistance is futile!
I was not happy about this turn of events. I had planned to mope around the house all day. To show my displeasure I put on sweat pants that have a hole in the crotch flip flops and a T shirt with more stains than a crack house mattress! That'll teach her!
Mama Lee is having a hard time right now. She feels like her life is too hard and it's making her sad. We stayed until she lost interest in us and focused on the TV.
We took the Ratdogs to Como Lake for a quick run around.

These were the only 2 pictures I took all day. We were at the lake for less than 10 minutes. They did their business and we took off to Cheap Thrills for some things that Chef Boy R Lisa needed for work. It was now after 5 and I was still wearing my cranky pants! When we got home I made a Squatch Salad and some Octoberwurst with saurkraut. I ate my dinner barely tasting my food. The events in Orlando were horrifying and yet another personal loss left me numb.
Chef Boy R Lisa is up at 2 am for work so by 7 she was ready for bed. I had no interest in sitting here watching the TV so I packed up my guitar and headed over to the Heritage Grill to make some music. I brought my camera and tri pod to tape my set. I was up fourth I played my song Paris solo and dedicated it to the Victims in Orlando. Then I invited the band up for the last 3 songs in my set. I played Can't you see by Marshall Tucker, Love Monkey Blues , an original and a Funky Uptempo cover of House of the Rising Sun. I was feeling pretty good by the time we got off the stage to a nice round of Applause. That's the power of Music!  It was at this point I realised that though I set up the camera I never did turn it on. Crap!

That's all I've got
Till next time
Peace out Y'all
